Creature Handler Archive

Greetings,

I created a character on the Test Center today because I wanted to find out if some creatures I thought might never spawn babies would. I worked up to Novice Scout 2010 and Marksman 0200. Armed with mask scent and the ability to see whether a creature would be tameable or not, I headed off to Dantooine.

BTW, thanks to Orisa for showing me a simple way to make relatively quick easy money. I would never have gotten far without her help.

On Dantooine, I was mainly interested in the Ancient Graul, already knowing Tivo's finding about the Frenzied. Thanks Tivo! Well, I found one relatively quickly and was disappointed. Not tameable as of yet. Maybe in the future. I found the same with all the high end Voritor Lizards. That made me sad as I thought at least perhaps one would be. The Fierce Piket Protector followed the same trend, as did the Seething Bol Crusher.

Finding out what I wanted, I sped off to Endor. Just as much disappointment there. The Arachne Queen does not spawn babies. Neither do the Hilltop Gurreck Hunters or Blood Frienzied Boar Wolves. This I had expected. As Tivo indicated, the Bark Mite Burrower and Queen do not spawn babies. Neither do the Mantigrue Reaper or the Deranged Mantigrues. The Bordok Mares and Roaming Bordok Stud won't be found in baby versions either. The burning question for me at Endor were the Merek Harvesters. It did not take me long to find a Merek lair with one and that was a no go as well. Now, the only creatures I still wonder about are the King and Queen Merek Harvesters, the Blood-Drenched Merek King, the Hanadak Ancients, and the Bordok Ancients.

I will probably look at the remaining creatures once the publish goes live. Getting to the remotest parts of the map will be very unlikely without getting deathblowed. I only died once tonight, which I seriously considered a miracle. I got taken out by a Slinking Voritor Hunter at the bottom of the Kunga Cave. They like me now. Otherwise, I was incapped a couple of times. Mainly by creatures/npc's spawning right at my location.

Tonight was not without a sense of irony however. As I wandered Endor, I came across an Arachne Queen/Widow lair that had a baby right out in the open. I was sad. This had never happened to me before. I hated to see it go to waste.

Perhaps I wasted my time today, but I thought I'd pass along what I have found at the moment. I hope it proves useful to someone.
