It seems to me that being able to place a saddle on a mount should allow a creature handler to also put saddle bags on the mount itself. It only seems logical that this can happen.
Since DE's can put anything into a droid, wouldnt this work on the same principal?
Why cant this be done? Will it be done? Or dont we want this to be done?

well if you look at certain hermit spawns, you can see pack banthas with saddle bags on them, so the graphic is indeed already in there. functionality would have to be programmed, however.

I think they would have to program functionality into the saddles. Yes, saddles and packs are objects, but they're just eye-candy at the moment. The devs already know we want pack animals. It just makes sense. Plus it will add economy back to the CH profession.

just a thought, wouldnt the packs be the same programing as the driod containers? All would be left would be the link to a graphic, ie the saddle pack, to the container. Maybe im missing something here.

yeah i totally agree, after being outa the loop for 2 months I came back this evening and moved to rori to a nice quiet corner near restuss...problem was i had to have 3 of my friends come and help me move....pack animals are MUCH needed, especially for those crafters out there, and miners...wooo dawgy that would help them out a lot =)
In all, pack animals or heck pack droids are needed...THO you shouldn't be able to store your pack pet, and animals should be able to cary more, unless of course you're running with the useless binary load lifter....however pack droids/creatures shouldn't be able to be stored with stuff in their "packs" instead they should zone with the owner if say im on naboo and want to fly to rori the creature/droid should be able to be "stored" in the cargo hold of the ship im hopping on to get to the next planet. Yes this is a litlte bogus but it could be done. Maybe space expansion?
Any way good post here hopefuly we get this sorta thing in soon
