Thread: my pet can't keep up

When I hunt with a group I have to wait 45 seconds after the mission to store my pet and then wait 12 seconds when I arrive at the next mission to pull him. He of course isn't fast enough to keep up with a speeder so he gets lost if I don't put him away. Is there some sort of workaround to this problem?

there are 2 things:

- according to the notes on TC the pet call timer will be gone with next publish; so at least u wont have to wait when calling the pet (i still hope they at least reduce the 1 minute wait before store after combat)

- u can train fleet footed abilties to increase the speed of the pets; but imo they are still too slow, even with fleet footed level 2 the pets can hardly follow your bike; perhaps its because i m a pre-CU CH and used to see my gurrecks nearly keeping up with my swoop and my lantern birds flying even faster then my swoop; so i still hope they fix this ability (increase the speed and increase the mounted speed too)

Pets are like animals they run after you until your gone. So the only thing that you can do is store them which takes time but most used by Chs or walk very slow

Well here's what I do:

Leave the pet at the mission and travel to the next. You can store from the datapad along the way.

There use to not be a timer at all. You had to use a camp.
Now it is optional. That is what the timer is for.

While in camp you can call pets instantly. Basic Camps schematics can be put into a factory. with 10000 hide and 5000 bone you can make 40 crates of basic camps. That is 1000 camps for very little effort. Factories are not very expensive either.

While the removal of the timer is nice and I'm fine with it. It's also the final nail in the coffin for camps. It is pretty much the last thing they are really good for.

Maybe someday the revamped scouts or SL will have some use for camps.... obviously Rangers won't be using them anymore
