Thread: What happened to the drop of the pet call timer?
Just noticed that in the Pub 24 notes myself....delay for pet call is no longer listed.
But then again they are postponing Pub 24 one more time LOL.
Maybe we'll get the call delay removed yet. I hope so because it sux.

Point 1: I don't think the removal of the timer was ever included in the pre-24 / ToOW / pub 24 pushes to TC. Although I wasn't in beta, so I never saw those patch notes (which apparently did sometimes include non-ToOW details). It's still included in the "In Development", along with the Ranger revamp (although thatdoesn't mean they are tied together).
Point 2: There's been a history of publish patch notes being incomplete. Has anyone checked the timer's existence on TC?
Point 3: There were valid reasons for adding / including the timers in the first place, the devs should make sure that whatever modification doesn't get unbalancing. The main one has usually been "without timers, CH can store damaged / incapped pet and call a new fresh one in the middle of combat".
Personally, I think the best implementation would be to put on a block on storingpets. Can't store a pet in the middle of combat, and maybe some post-combat timer to prevent a player from exiting combat (this would only work in a group) to store a pet and call a fresh one. Pets can be stored with no delay if they are at 100% health (speed things up when dealing with group missions). Allow pets to be called with no timer (including during combat to reduce the "caught in an ambush" problem CH's face), and enforce all CL limits.
