Thread: does using pets cause jedi viz?
one jedi told me it did, but others say no
so i have no clue
** Edited to add
Even if pets are not grouped but the ch is, no vis I have done this too a bunch of times and never have been outed on the terminals. Unfortunatly those jedi probably won't believe you do to the fact of forced pvp and a paraniod envirement for them. jedi are not an alpha class as they once were, they may look cool but untill the templates finished they are baby cows and the veal wagon is coming.

Pets are entities.
Entities do not cause visiblity.
Characters DO cause visiblity.
To confirm this, pass your cursor over dots on the radar, the information displayed will include if the dot is an entity or a character.

This is absolutely true. Paranoia is a Jedi trait. Any dot approaching, any color, on a grinding group, is a danger, first for visiblity, and secondly that it might be a BH with YOUR mission.
The other day Sio was returning a non-CH pet he had trained to a guildie who is a Jedi. The guildie was spin group grinding with other Jedi on Tatooine. Since I've got a Jedi toon as well now I know the rule, and very quickly anyone who grinds in a group with a Jedi in it learns it. You approach the group and stop 100m out and announce your presence. Which I did to my guildie.
But he wasn't fast enough on the keyboard to the other members of the group; I got a tell from one of them, "who have you come for". Now, Sio is an MBH/MCH, but he doesn't travel around in armor, he doesn't display a BH related tag (he's a Pack Master, my favorite CH tag), but because Sio usually has a scatter equipped, you can tell by looking at him that he's a BH. The Jedi in the grinding group could not see this; they AUTOMATICALLY assume (and to be honest, Tazz does too) that any player dot approaching them is a BH out for blood.
Only after they've looked at the character closely (check to see what the CL is, check the tag, /examine to determine what profession badges they have) do they let their guard down. It's the way you have to be when you're subject to an attack by a player at any time.
You know what I find really funny Sio
I've helped people grind in the spin group, been there and don't mind helpng. But many times the padawansare grinding away right next to the BH's grinding away. Both imp and reb alike. It's so funny I sit and look at them and think.
"You are all enemies and although don't realise it now, will soon be pitted against eachother".
Some realise it and openly say they wont hunt this guy or do that lol. Future jedi's try and convert one another as they become friends. reality is, looking at the path we have all come means most of them will be fighting eachother wether they want to or not lol.
