Has anyone had an issue with taming a pet successfully, but the control device not appearing in your datapad? This happened to me last night. I now have one less pet slot, and cannot access the 'ghosted' pet to delete it. Helps.

Also, and this is more of a noob question: I read that our pets can take on laser turrets, but it seems that my pets will only go out to 65m to attack. The turret ranges are ~75m. I've tried ungrouping and grouping, but my pets still stop at 65m. Am I doing something wrong?

what was it that u tamed?
there is no miniature model available for some creatures (for example kinad baz nitches). instead u find a data control device (like the ones for faction pets) or some other strange model in your datapad. try checking the descriptions of your datapad items - perhaps u have overseen it.

i dont know about the turrets, but 65m is the limit for attacking pets.

what about a pet with a ranged attack, would they not get 65m plus their 20m ranged attack?

Use Follow target then when pet gets in range send to attack might work

Thanks all for the replies. I did send in a pet with ranged attack, but since I'm not a MCH yet, I can't tell it to continue ranged attack. It attacked with ranged spitonce, then stopped, lol. I will fool with it a bit more though. Thanks for the advice.

edit: and yes,I double check my datapad---the whisper bird hatchling is a generic icon, and not the bird icon I was looking for. Thanks.
