I've now had two experiences with the "You can't tame that" bug with very similar conditions. In very brief testing if I begin to tame a baby and fail and get aggro I normally run off into the hills until I lose the baby then slowly work my way back down to the lair and try again, rinse repeat etc...

However, if I fail to tame the baby and get aggro and run off into the hills until I lose aggro then immediately turn around and try again (before the baby returns to its spawn location) then I get the "You can't tame that" message on the baby and my chance is over. I saw this twice with two separate babies from different lairs both on Dath.

So, is the hate list held until the MOB returns to its spawn location? Has anyone else seen a pattern?

It is possible this is the case, there are many many posts on this subject...

I experienced this issue a few times last week but I have since not seen the issue manifest even though my cursor has the combat mode look.

Stealth fix... who knows?

I don't think it is, unless hate works across separate mobs and species. In all cases where this bug has hit for me, once the baby aggros me, I cannot tame any baby until after a totallogout. I have not had this happen on any planet other than dath, however, but then again, the only babies I have tried to tame lately have been on Dath. I thought perhaps it had been stealth fixed too but had it happen again yesterday afternoon, sigh.
