Hi!
I am creature handler by respec and have bought the TTE.I know you get the varactyl lvl 10 with the digital download. But now I heared, that only Digital Download users can do the Master CH only quest to get the lvl 65 varactyl. Is that true? Or can users who bought the TTE do the quest also?
The quest giver is not talking to me, although I am Master CH. But I can still respec so I don't have the Master CH badge yet. Does anyone know whether you just need the Master Badge to do the quest or is it the digital download that is needed to get the varactyl lvl 65?
If the varactyl is a Master CH and Digital Download only mount, that would be really frustrating, cause it was only told you get the varactyl with DD and the BARC with TTE. Not that you can't do quests with a special download version only 
I would've bought the DD if I knew this earlier. But after activating the TTE you can't buy the DD anymore

I don't know about having MCH to take it since im not an ROTW person yet, but I seriously dought it's only for digital download folks. Quests are so very, very bugged on wookie world right now that if you wait a week or 2 for them to patch the quests it should work again, unless it really does need the MCH badge.

Just so everyone is clear on the quest. The varactyl can be received in two ways...correct. Everyone who uses the DD will receive the varactyl mount, which is a level 10 creature anyone can use. The varactyl quest can only be done by master creature handlers who have also purchased the DD. The reward for this quest is the level 65 varactyl.

Go to the expansion planet Kachiro and talk to the NPC at 522 -648 (sorry, I don't remember his name) ... I'm pretty sure you have to be MCH ... get the mission/quest and head North following the trail to the river and then go right (up river?) ... look for a named varactyl (Jagged Fang) on a nest and kill her (level 56 elite maybe?) ... then click on a egg in the nest and take an egg ... you can then click on the egg in your inventory and "hatch" the egg ... there ya' go ...

the enhanced varactyl is only level 10 and you dont need to be a master ch you get the missioin from the caged genosihan in the wookiee villiage.

I believe that is a different mission isn't it? ... it's for something called a Bolotaur and the last part of the mission is, I believe (I have not tried), to go into the Geo Caves and retrieve a DNA sample ... don't know how it works but at some point you wind up with a Bolotaur pet that can be mounted (and it may be level 10). The varactyl you get from killing Jagged Fang and hatching the egg is definately level 65 because I got one

So.. I get the quest and hot foot it to the sight to slay the beasty and nick an egg.. only to find an over zealous Jedi *twitches* has slaughtered her just for the fun of it. As I'm a newbie CH and this is the 1st quest I've had where someone hassliced and diced beforeI've got there.... will the baddie beasty respawn or if not, what do I have to do?

I would go back to the NPC click on him, and see if he says something like "I need you to finish that task" and if you have the option to say "no". You may then be able to click on him again and get the mission again. That does work for some normal missions on the regular old planets but do not know about on the new planet.

I really wish I would've seen this topic before going out to buy the TE. I want my Varactyl! It's tradeable, isn't it? 100k to the person who brings me a Varactyl (level doesn't matter, but I'd prefer the 65) on Radiant!

The varactyl you get from the pre-order of ROTW is level 10 and can be used by any player. The one you get from the quest is level 65 so you have to be a CH and be able to handle level 65 pets. I already gave my level 10 to a friend but there should be others out there. I'm pretty sure a CH who got the level 65 would be willing to give up his level 10

I'm a MCH, so level means nothing to me. Just tell me the lvl 65 can be traded, and whoever takes the offer first will be 100k richer.
