I hate this message board sometimes...
...anyways. I'm out hunting GPS's and kill the first one, then try waiting for another spawn, but yard trash shows up if anything at all. Weren't they supposed to have fixed that so we'd have the chance to get the rare babies again?

Don't think so, Bubba. I go through piles of babies before I find a special.

Babies now have a chance of being the first thing to spawn. So now, the method is to not kill. Waypoint the spawn, drive 500m or more away and return. Or you could just count on luck running across a baby in the wild.
Warning though, I had to approach and retreat from a plains hunter spawn about 100 times before I got a baby.....

I have spent about 3 hours total time since pub 21 and have not even seen a GSP to try to "milk" so count your lucky stars.

Is that post-Patch 21? Have you tamed a GPS since the patch?

If you kill a lone spawn, do not expect it to respawn.
If you find a lone spawn and are wanting a baby from it, target the creature, drive about 130m away. keeping it still targetted, wait till it despawns, then drive back to the area for it to respawn. You will have to rinse and repeat this process quite a few times before a baby will or even might respawn.

So then they didn't fix the multi spawn part? They just made it more likely to get a baby on the first spawn? Why not just set it back to the way it was? You know: kill it, wait a minute, kill it, rinse repeat 4 times.

I have used this method to get a Plains Hunter and a Ikopi Stag. I havent went out to replace my GPS and/or my Swamp Stalker yet. Both of the tames were post-pub 21.

Correct - single spawn only atm.

I used this method tonight (and so did a buddy of mine) and we both got a GPS baby.

The problem is very deep into the system, if you're a ranger using area track a lot you will notice the problem. Everything that is beyond immediate range about 100m, will rapidly respawn and despawn. This system is causing a lot of babies to become adults before you get a chance to get within visual range of them.
This same system I think is also buggering up the single spawns. I am not a dev so I can not confirm this, but it seems the most likely explaination to me.
