Hi all! I have decided to come back to the game after my couple month hiatus. I decided to come back because I miss the Star Wars universe to much and while I can watch the movies, read the books and play the other games, this game to me was what put me in the Star Wrs universe. I left because of the CU and what I tested on TC before it went live. To me it was going to hold back the MCH because no longer could you do things you liked to do and especially for the way I like to play... Solo. I solo because of my real life commitments. I have 4 children that often draw me away from the keyboard, I am also a volunteer fireman and EMT. I have decided to give SWG another go as I do miss it!
My questions are as follows:
1) For those that solo mostly, what are your hints and tricks that have kept you soloing post-CU?
2) What creatures have you found helped the most while soloing?
3) Right now I am a MCH/TKM and have some Ranger skills and Medic skills. I am thinking about going MBH with MCH. Is this a viable build?
4) How has the Bull Rancor hunting faired since the CU? Can it still be done solo?
5) I thought I read somewhere that Frenzied Grauls are now tameable. Is this true?
I think that's all I have, but I have been away from the game for a couple months now and not sure what game I am coming back to with all the changes that have taken place. I still have an hour and a half wait for the patch to complete. Being on dial-up and doing patches is a long frustrating experience 8-).
Thank you in advance for your answers!

Soloing very much depended on you having certain abilties like center of being or some way to heal yourself. The biggest difference post CU, is you lose a lot of weapon xp to medical xp in a fight due to the missing super buffs of the past.
The most useful skills to you as a soloer is any way to reduce the damage a creature or NPC does to you, i.e. stun, knockdown, intimidate, center of being, duelist stance and blind. The other is the a way to maximise the damage you do to a creature or NPC, blind, knockdown and armor break.
Most of the state abilties you can get from your pets now, so you don't have to worry too much about what professions you need to be. The other thing is they haven't really got rid of melee or ranged defence stacking, this is still important. CH offers no melee or ranged defence, this is the balance for having pets. Thus one on one with another double master like melee double, you will take more damage.
MCH+MBH is a viable jedi hunting template if thats what you're asking. but if you prefer to PvE, I'd stick with what you have at the moment and see how it pans out before changing.
Frenzied Gruals are tamable, but there is some discrepancy over their frequency, first hand information I have is that these babies fall into the rare category of pets. But there are some people who claim they have seen numerious number of these babies, without visual proof, I find this hard to believe. And considering a lot of people still get the five types of gruals confused with one and another, I'm inclided to believe they are still rare pets but not extinct. They are however not very good pets for a lvl 52. A grual and grual mauler has way better accuracy and defence mods than a FG, though they are a level or two weaker having said that.
Bull Rancor hunting? YOu mean baby taming or you mean mission killing? Mission killing is tied to your lvl, and this can be done quite well with any CH template. If you're refering to baby taming, well these buggers are just as rare as the FG, if not worse.
The major thing you should be looking into is the new pet specials, read about them in the stickies
