Thread: Hmmm, Anyone else having trouble finding a special since the patch?

Or am I just in the middle of a really unlucky run? Tamed over 30creatures since patch on Naboo, Talus and Correlia, CLs 1 - 25. None had a special.
Very different to pre-patch (estimate 1 in 5 maybe?)
Still going on...update later

erm.... patch or hotfix, if patch no, I haven't had a problem if hotfix well... I haven't tried.

Actually, it seems that some people are either struck with a problem like this or are lazy as hell and lieing through their teeth. Personally, I never have problems finding babies with specials on them, and Naboo is a hotspot of mine. It's true that higher levels have a better chance at having specials on them, but taming 30 low-level pets should more than yielded a handful of pets with special abealities.

Ah, but I'm neither. Been on since the HOTFIX (thank you
) 30+ tames (lost count) none with specials.... /shrug If I have confirmation from yourselves that
anyone else has tamed specials since the hotfix then I'll assume I'm just in a real unlucky run and continue.

Consider yourself informed then. I played just after servers came up this morning, and IIRC 3 out of 6 tames had abilities. Good run of luck for me, particularly since I didn't have two of the abilities.

I managed to find 4 out of 9 babies on tat that had specials not more than 4 hours ago.

I felt the same way a couple days ago, I felt I had tamed every baby on Endor and nothing. I logged off for a couple hours and started on another planet and three great tames with specials in a row. I did not post about it but just thought is bad luck.

I don't have any numbers, but I seem to be getting more specials since the hotfix. I actually have my datapad full and can't tame any more until I learn them.

i got very lucky in tames after the server start on eclipse. 2 mereks with Level 2 abilities and a gaping spider hunter with frenzy assault Level 3. i must admit i had no luck in the lower level tames (tamed some cupas and a carrion spat for mount training and some occasional stuff on corellia and tat without any abilities).

I had a bad run like that on Naboo I ended up jumping planet...going to my old favorite hunting ground... ( extremely far east on Lok ) and managed to tamed 10 babies with 6 specials... 5 of which I did not have before. So far as I can tell it's just a bad run. Happy hunting

you get bad runs fomr time to time the random element in this semes to be fairly large and reustls in some very unpredictable results wnh ehunting specials
