I saw a Great Plains Stalker within a month or two of game launch and in the few seconds that I was alive to see it, became obsessed with capturing one. It was so rare that for nearly a year I couldn't find anyone who knew what I was talking about. I began to wonder if I had just imagined my encounter, but thankfully I happened upon the CH forums!
One of my goals that has kept me going through the CH XP grind is getting the skills to tame a GPS. Unfortunately, I chose my path poorly. Given the choice of Taming IV or Empathy III, I chose Empathy because it would finally give me a max skill level capable of taming the GPS. Except that it didn't, because I mistakenly thought it was level 50 -- I was 1 level short, and needed more vicious taming skills anyway.
So today I figured I'd run around Corellia grinding the Taming IV box. Two thirds of the way into it and who do I run into? My old friend, the GPS! I frantically finished the box and returned to where I found him, but several hours had passed and he was long gone (although the other spawns from the afternoon are still hanging around).
GPS, why must you taunt me!
I'm actually just glad I didn't run into a baby this afternoon before I finished my skill box -- I think I would have snapped for sure.

keep the faith, back when Atef wooly hide was in shift on Eclipse, i was hitting screecher lairs with the guild doc by my side, i had yet to make it to master CH and lacked the skills to tame a screecher baby at the time.
just my luck we ran into 1 while hitting our wild lairs, and we had no choice but to kill it :/ it haunts me to this day as i have yet to see another 1 since.
if you perservere, the gps will be in your datapad, believe in it and it will be so.

Oh I feel your pain fellow Ch. I have hunted the gps and hunted them. I have 20 waypoints that I make the rounds of everyday almost. My buddy has put up three shelters in the midst of thoes wp's for me. I am still just frustrated and have a perpetual tic on my target finger lol.
One day out of over a month I killed two spawns of adults..That is the only sign of them I have seen. Just enough to keep me looking.
So far three screechers...3 swamp stalkers...but no gps. May never get a bull baby I hate dath...so dark and hilly.
I have even given up some of my rifle so I could get track...so far to no availe...but I have faith someday the gps will be mine...just hope I am not a looney by that time. Hehe
Will cross my fingers for you...they are always in that position anyway =)
