I've seen some discussion of this on swgcreatures.com, but I wanted to see if the CH profession has anything more substantive.
all the pets I've ever seen have identical HAM stats, varying only (and only occasionally) in the color palette. while some palettes seem reserved for certain species of pets (the reddish cast to a frenzied graul, or the full red of a plains hunter, or the various mereks)... other pets seem to allow for a degree of color variance (my bloodseeker mite queens show two or three color forms).
since the gurrcat skin allows for a fair number of color options, and the plains hunters have the red set, swamp stalkers have a decent range of color morphs... from dark to light, with (I'd guess) a half dozen stages in between.
as personally desirable as any specific color is to a CH, is there any truth to the rumors that the 'silver' form of the swamp stalker has more than the base HAM (rumors persist that the base 9300 can reach 10k HAM on these varieties)?
as much as I doubt that a HAM difference is coded into the game for this one color form, I'm interested enough to ask the community for more information: hunting uncommon to rare pets is one of the most widely entertaining prospects for a CH player, and finding a 'rare among rares' to hunt is an appealing prospect.
whether or not a 'superior' swamp stalker exists, I'll likely be looking for more as I roam naboo... I've got datapad space to spare for a while.

one of my few complaints with swgcreatures.com. the forums, and the notes attached to each species entry.
this isn't the first time I've come across a crazy idea... in fact, almost a year ago:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=creature_handler&message.id=95949
now THAT was a limited success.

The short answer is no. All wild creatures with the same name have identical stats. The color variance is random but falls withing in a range of colors depending on species.

as a master BioE, I can actually see the palettes available in wild skins when crafting clones.
as I said before, _I_ have never seen any (baby) with varying stats, nor any pet (as all nonclone pet stats come from a baby somewhere). however, just because I haven't seen something ingame doesn't rule out the possibility that it exists: I saw my first Great Plains Stalker only a week ago. Of course, I spend as little time as possible on corellia, so there's no surprise there.
however, when I see a rumor, crazy as it might be, I find it wiser to confirm or deny it, rather than dismiss it.
it's really no more bizarre than the assertion I've seen several times: "mon cals regen faster when in the water."
