when i was doing my rebel theme park badge i ran into quit a few near the rebel base, you could also just do the old stand by and run along the rivers until you see a lair.

anyone have an idea a good spot to hunt these guys? i was thinking the mountain area near the reble base on corelia? any place else?

Although not a sure-fire answer, you should check the maps on SWGCreatures.com
They can be helpful if their updated.

In the mountains near Doaba Guerfel. See 'em all the time there (N and NW +1k out)

did that, been looking for 3 days for dalyrakes and spats,, cant find nothing,, all ive found have been butterflys and rasps,, atleast i found a few spawns of agrilate rasps.. sigh

don't go to the swamp... NE I find them too. You may have to get close to the edge of the map.

I haven't hunted them in a LONG time, but they used to spawn quite regularly on the mesas just north of Tyrena (two circles on the planetary map, at the end of and east-west mountain range). Most people recommend the mountains by the Rebel base, though.

Dalyrakes or Gulginaws? Or both? If you're also hunting avian, try gulginaws. You can find lots east/northeast of the rebel base, and south of the swamps near the mountains. Either way, both dalyrakes and gulginaws can usually be found in the mountains.

Ive been all over inbetween doaba and Kor valla. in the mountains, and the mountains surrounding the swamp.and north of doaba. Im headed to the mountain range in the NE now.. gonna try the far east6000, 6000 + ive done the kill every spawn in the area trick, but its possible im just to low of lvl to get the biger stufff to spawn.. Im unarmed 3-0-0-0 marksmen 3-3-3-3 scout 3-0-3-0 atm.. brand new character on a new server.. if this dont work ill try the other side of the map..
Just to put this in perspective, ive gotton over 1k avain killing rasps thats 3 units per kill,, only about 100 have been from agrilate rasps, thats a lot of chicken wing ! ! /grin

Thanks for all your help people,
well after 3 days, and 4 hours today i hit the mother load,, spawns everywhere. To bad im beat and soo not in the mood to kill the giant chickens. Plus i me thinks i could use some mabari, these guys hurt my unarmored body.
