Thread: What is the highest level pet a non-creature handler can use?

Now I thought/read that the max level pet for a non-creature handler was 10. That doesn't seem to be so.
I can transfer or trade a level 10 mount to a non-creature handler, but I cannot transfer a level 10 female dire cat to a non-creature handler. It says that the person has too many pets, even though they have none, and they have no droid or vehicle out.
Is this a glitch/bug or is this something permanent that was put in a release but I just missed.
Last time I asked a question like this my thread got locked. Hope someone here has an answer.

Non-CH's are limited to Level 10 pets and not aggresive. A Dire Cat is an aggresive pet and can not be controled by a Non-CH. The error that you're seeing is a generic one for a pet transfer problem of any kind.

Thanks for the clarification. I never considered the aggressiveness of the pet. That explains a lot. Now I have to find a non-aggressive cat. Cats are what most folks want.

The gurreck skin is non-agressive, if you want to use that.

i believe gurrecks have a minimum level. razor cats are preferred by most people since they're nonaggressive.

I'm not a BE, so I could be totally wrong, but I thought I trained a level 10 BE'd gurreck for a non-CH the other day...

umm faction pets don't count like the ATST i'm assuming in that way?

As far as cats are concerned, the followings BE pet skins are all non-aggressive and can be made non-CH.
Gurrcat
Razor cat
Gurreck
The only aggressive cat skin is Narglatch.
