Thread: 3 pets at once good again?

with the new abilities is it good to have 3 pets out again? with 3 pets out you could theoretically have 12-15 abilities on someone. is it worth the cut in health, armor, and damage by not having a higher lvl pet? if ya grouped with them they *should* do well id think...


whats you guys opinion?

Based on everything I've been reading, you'll get maximum xp by not grouping with your pets. Based on the group dynamic changes that were part of the cu, pet levels will adjust to your combat level when grouped. This limits the amount of xp they'll get. Unless you and your pets are similar levels, let them fight ungrouped.

thanks but thats not what i asked. i already know that. what im asking is once they are fully trained and have all the exp would a group of 3 be just as good as a lvl 70? would the specials compensate for the lower stats? im thinking about gettting 3 nargs but i dont want to waste the dataspace if they are worse then just having 1 lvl 70

I think its going to be a very personal thing. You could have 2 levl 15 with an interesting state to apply to the target and have a 40 with better health, armour and damage perhaps to hold the aggro off the other 2 and tank. The higher the cl the more training slots you will get I think. So lower levels can only be trained one ability really - and maybe up the ham or defense a bit.

I am going to play around quite a bit first and see what could be good.

well against higher lvl creatures they will die quickly because of the lower heath and reduced armor. I have 3 Greater sludge panthers which are currenly better than 3 nargs.Panthers stats are3333 heath 269 damage ... I do know that my CL 70 pet is much better in combat than my 3 cats ...You may be able to use 3 pets in PVP but its not worth it while trying to solo a Kimo...

What is funny, is that I say the exactsame thingabout a single CL70 pet, when soloing Kimos, with my 3 CL23 pets.

I'm currently running one level 60 pet that has the enhanced aggression on it. Run 2 level 5 pets that do abilities (KD, eye gouge, etc) and because the level 60 has the hate, the two ability pets do their thing without worry. Being 4000 CM keeps the entire team alive and rocking as I pound away with a rifle. Makes a great holding system.

Yesterday I was running around with three low level critters out, trying to learn some abilities off them. I grouped with them to do some CL80 hunting for myself. Their damage was low enough that I didn't have any problems keeping agro and they were all hitting for a 100-ish each, a little more when enraged (or frenzied). (I usually keep agro and treat my pets as high damage DoTs.) One had a Knockdown L1 attack and it was a pretty reliable attack against the CL80+ bols and pikets, quite a bit better than the 50% chance a lot of the others here are quoting. I suspect that'll be fine tuned later so, any guesses now might be a bit premature. For now, though, I can see three pets with three different specials all triggered to the same command word as possibly being an instant three-state special attack.

BEs are making pets cl 23-24 with 5.9k-6k health with 218 dmg these will make nice trio with the rite specials. i have a set but i have not tamed yet i am waiting till i find and understand more specials.
