Ok, so here's my situation. I find a lvl 25 pouncing jax with a bleed attack, I train the pet to use his special, he uses it in battle for like 3 fights and then it says I have learned the ability. SINCE THEN, however I have fought with like 10-12 new pets over and over and over and over (you get the point)using their special inate ability (also lvl 1 abilities) and I have yet to learn any new abilities?!?!? What up with that?!??

Does anyone have any hints on us 'learning' these abilities ?!? Any info would be great!

When you learn the ability is completely random. You do not have to use the abilities either, just the pets that have them. Sometimes you learn them quickly, sometimes it takes a lot of use.

Just in case you do not know though, try /train without anything targetted. This lets you see the abilities you have learned. I often miss the message, so I find it good to check occassionally.

I hear it is random and have been trying to figure out any clue on about when it happens, and as a rule of thumb I notice that I learn it within 2 levelings. However there are other times it happens almost immediatly. One thing I have noticed, the better skills to learn (bleed, intimidate, dizzy) seem to take longer to learn, or maybe it just seems that way because I want those skills so I can train them to other critters.
