Get this, I tried mounting a ready cu pa for a guildie and guess what.. no option to tame. The pet was ready, it had its maturity, but due to the new system the option to train as a mount is a.) no longer there and b.) totally stupid. Bio Engineer mounts no longer grow larger so I can't put sadles on them, and now I am informed by CSR-PeterJ that ONLY CL 10 pets can be mounted, except for the lvl 65 varactyl reward which is an exception. This puts my mount sales out of business. Ko I think you need to address this to developers that mounting is not working out. People, including me, are frustrated we can't sell mounts to non-ch'ers anymore. We will rarely even see a mount now, I would like your thoughts on this please.

If what that CSR reported was true, (And it very well may not be) that wasn't a very nice stealth nerf to pull off, no one complained about some mounts being only accesable by CHs, it certainly gave us no real advantages beyond roleplaying, and seems pretty ridiculous, I vote bug :/.

In my expirence all CSRs are morons. This is the equivilant of the CSR telling a Jedi to get the latest video card drivers because the Jedisaid his visibility was bugged.............

Well I am not too concerned with the IQ levels of the CS Department, I would like to know why this is so that I am put out of business, what everyone elses take is on this, and what Kos take is on this.

First of all, the CSR is of course incorrect, which seems sadly typical these days. I tamed a wild Giant Carrion Spat today and immediately had the option to train as a mount (since even as a baby it has a fairly large body size). It is CL 14 I believe.
There is of course the problem of leveling the pet to a mountable size (if it is a wild pet), and of course since BE pet size now depends on the level there are a few mount types that can't be currently BE'd for a non-CH. This has been brought up by the BE correspondent without response a couple times.
Right now, you *should* (operative word should, I'm not 100% sure it's working correctly) be able to tame any wild CL 10 or less mountable pet (like the Motley Kaadu, Plodding Falumpaset, etc.) and level it to maturity then train it as a mount. Basically an extra step if you want to be a mount salesman, but it should still be possible.

Just an FYI....
I tamed and leveled a Humbaba, which is CL17, and turned it into a mount. I did this about 8 hours ago.
My questions for you are -
- What is the CL of the mount and how many Training Points does it have?
- The mount should be at least6 Maturity Levels before the option to turn it into a mount occurs. Depending on the actual size of the Creature, it may take as many as 10 Maturity Levels. A CL 10 - 13 mount, that has a small apperance when it is tamed, should have at least 48 Training Points, before it is large enough for the mount option to appear. The Giant Carrion Spat appears to be one of the very few expections to this.
- Are you only using BE pets, in order to train them as a Mount?
- If this is true, then good luck. BE pets are supposed to be craftable as non-CH mounts, but for some reason they just don't grow to the correct sizes that they should.
- Where are you looking for the mount option?
- Not everyone is aware that the 'Train pet as Mount' option is now located in the Pet Command window, at the end of the standard Commands and right before the Ability Commands.

For what it's worth, bol pack runners canbe trained as mounts as soon as they are tamed, much like giant carrion spats. Of course, these are both CH only pets.
So the option to train as mount is there; the physical size of the pet needs to be large enough to support the saddle art as before. Giant carrion spats and bol pack runners happen to be the right size upon taming to accept the artwork.
Other mount-trainable creatures need to be grown large enough, though the XP cycle maturity process, to accept the saddle art.
