Thread: Post Nerfs & Post Combat Balance Which Profession Best With MCH? Master Rifleman?

Yeah, it's the age-old question again. But if they'd stop changing the gameall the time,we would not have to keep asking, lol. And I'm not giving up MCH.


Used to be the easy answer was Flame 4 Commando. Now with the DOTs nerfed, I'm not so sure.


For me, it might be Master Rifleman. Here's my logic:


1. My three characters are on the same server. Two of them are maxed-out - an MBH and a Master TKA/Master Gunfighter. My gunfighter uses pistols, of course and my MBH uses carbines primarily. I have about a dozen unused uber laser rifles and T21s gathering dust. As a Master Rifleman, I could use those to great advantage.


2. Flame 4 is not what it used to be after the last publish. Actually, all DOTs are much weaker now. DOTs are important in PvE, so the old flamer, while it looks cool, just isn't as good in the wild. Riflemen are strong without relying on DOTs.


3. Master Riflemen ain't gonna get nerfed anymore.


4. Rifleman skills for long range, combined with using your pets to tank, sounds like a great combo.


5. Master Rifleman is good at PvP and when combined with MCH, also is good at PvE.


6. Between all three of my maxed-out characters, I would have a wide vareity of ways to attack, interact and have fun.


What do the assembled multitudes think?

OK, first off, riflemen are good ap PvE with or without MCH...


I'm a rifleman working up to master and MCH is a great support profession for it. Last night was an awesome example. I was geting short on time and hunting pikets with a small group. I pulled my best tanking pet, popped a muon and sent the pet straight after the lair. I started spamming flushing shot 2 (an AOE stun raise posture shot) and we dropped the first two wave before my pet died and the group never drew argo. (My pet is a BE level 25 gurrek with 40 kenetic and 10k ham) I stored my pet and pulled out a wild bile drenched quenker and sent it at the lair and we dropped the last wave and killed the lair. With my spamming FLushing shot 2 the mobs would have taken much longer to kill and without the pet, the mobs would have been all over us. They compliment each other very well.


One is ranged and the other is up close and personal.
