a CL10 droid (with higher ham so it seems) and a CL10 pet = CL20 of our CL70 max.
Sorry, but this is a joke.

And have you seen what a BE can do with a level 10 non-ch pet???
With a first gen clone (not using any tricks) you can easily get a 3-4k ham pet with 10%+ kinetic... With multi-gen cloning that can be pushed much further...
Bottom line:
Only reason to be a MCH is if you love being a CH.
We suck in PvP, any elite melee/ranged professions does better in PvE.. Add that in with CL10 droid, CL10 Pet with a 3-4k ham 10%res...
Now our profession is broken more then ever.. /tellpet is shady at best, pets eat up 40% of your harvest, pets stand right on top of you, pets run away, pets auto store...
We went from a working respectable profession to a joke...

Actually, since our pets are royally screwed right now, I've been working on a BE on another server. One of my earlier pets (from first couple days into BE) is a non-CH CL10 Gnort that I gave to a guy for helping me out ingame. This CL10 Gnort has 0 resists across the board (no vulnerabilities but no positive either), no specials, and over 5k HAM in all three pools. Now that it's full grown, he says it's a better pet than any he had when he was a CH.
In no way do I wish to see BE's get nerfed, but I don't see why, with the pets that BE's can make now, we can't have all wild creatures reverted to the stats they were pre-December's 'rebalancing' (read: NERF). If the creatures were reverted, then BE's can still make much better pets than wild but our tameables would at least be worthwhile.
Sorry to go off topic here, so I willget back on.....I hope SOE isn't planning on counting Droid DL into our Max Level of Pets......That would just be totally whacked.

Exactly. How is it a problem if you can do it too? They can get a combat skill and attack, just like pets do. Are you going to include the PC into your equation?
