Okay its officially gone beyond slight annoyance to out and out cruelty. Today I have spent 8 hours trying to find a pharple to tame and hope that I get quote LUCKY and actually find an ability on it. The ability I seek is ofcoarse intimidation L2. Here has been my experience find a nest work said nest attempting to get a baby to spawn. Nest out and out refuses to spawn a baby period. I can pound the nest over and over and over going out 500 comeing back. Non stop I see gurks hatchlings perleks everything with babies floating around as I tear about lock. No pharples though. At this point I am over five hundred pharple murders. Not one baby has spawned.

Now this isnt my first introduction to nest cap I have found it over and over and over again. I find something I want but no babies so I tap the nest no luck tap it again no luck. Tap it getting torn up by the way till 15 creatures are out no babies. What is the logic behind makeing us tame specific creatures to get specific abilities then capping the nests so we cannot get said babies. Short of accidentally running over one.

I agree with difficulty thats good it gives people a challenge. All professions should be difficult, but there is a line you cross that goes from hard or difficult to being mean spirited and cheap. We already have enough slowing measures on CH like randomized abilities only what 1 in 10 will have one. Next we have to find a specific line of creatures which might have that ability and they must be of a certain level. Finally we have to deal with haveing to fight the baby to get that ability.

So to earn a ability anyway takes alot of tameing one creature till it finally coughs it up then we have to fight it. To learn the ability and we have 72 abilities to learn.

Devs please see reason you only hurt the system when you just block people by capping baby spawns on nests you make it so that a person has no choice but to spend months doing it and by that point they hate the game. For pete sakes unlock the dang nests. You arent even giveing us the chance to even tame a creature to see if it has an ability.

Rant off.

hehe, I know how u feel m8...... I tamed my giant pahrple ( luckily with intimidation 2 ) just three days ago after a few days of search and on the day I tamed it I scouted half of Lok, squaremeter by squaremeter and run about thousands of perleks, snorbals, gurks and other stuff,.... wot I didnt find was any pharples, nowhere...... well finally I found a nest of brambels and tried the "update trick" and while doin this I saw that there are two other nests within 600m range so I could use all 3 spawns for the trick..... still took me a few hours and tons of kills to finally get a baby spawn and I was really lucly to tame it ( especially as I had a baby spawn few days before, failed to tame it and the server deleted it in front of my eyes ).

It may be very annoying in the situation, but when u finally found it u feel very good...... overa year ago i was MCH ( and Im nowadays again ) and on the hunt for a bull rancor.... cant count the lairs i killed and the thousands of wounds i got from the nasty plague.... never saw a baby..... until today..... spent hours on dath on the hunt for a bay and after updating a lair for several hours I finally gota spawn and tamed it..... came without any ability and with its CL65 its an average pet nowadays, but its my bull rancor and Im proud of it.

good luck for ur hunts m8, i hope u can enjoy it again

Its not difficult tameing mind you I dislike thats cool but this is beyond redundant they have literally locked down the nests at this point when I kill a thousand pharples and get absolutely no return yeah I start to get ticked. This isnt a case of the bull rancor or gps either this is a skill without it I am blocked from being a successful CH. Depending on my opponent I might need strong intimidation.

Also on a worse note if this is a sign of things to come I can spend months trying, and not every ch is going to stand for this some are going to quit. The odds on this are like winning the pick three. The cap needs to have its strangle hold removed its cruel and not fair. We deserve to have a chance to tame a creature which the devs have locked the ability in.

I was finally able to figure out a work around aweak spotin the system that the devs hid ever so cleverly. Not going into dreary details, but I was able to get it off a gorge vesp. Not that hard work wasnt evolved, and I had to tame three to finally get the intimidation L2. I still think its sad I had to resort to codebreaking simply to tame up an ability i needed.

I will save the details of the system for another post.

If what you seek is intim 2 and not specifically the pharple, you can also get Intim 2 from gurnaset hatchlings and stintaril scavengers (only hatchlings and scavengers, the other types don't have the same ability group). Scavengers are nearly as rare as pharple babies.... on the other hand, gurnaset hatchlings aren't that rare at all. Start gurn hatchling hunting

Actually I got it off of a gorge vesp but did later get it off of a hatchling. I agree on the scavenger and pharple but also have tay hatchlings while more common seem to hold onto abilities alot more tightly.

I have been a CH since launch, and an MCh since a few months after. When I got my GPS I was stoked, almost 2 years of constant searching, now its an ok pet with all the revamps, but ya know what, he's mine to keep, and i will. Just happy I have him!
