Thread: MCH solo'n Krayts | BOOYAH!
Juvenile Krayts - Yes, that'll be easy. You could prolly do that without pets.
Regular Krayts - Maybe
Canyon Krayts - Jesus, no
What specifically do you see as doable?
Should I pursue the 2 pets with stun/intimidate?
Or one CL70 uber pet?
Frosty
One uber CL70 pet would do okay as far as tanking goes, as long as he doesn't constantly try to get in ideal range to attack.
Myself I would prefer two pets. Like a CL50 for a tank with the stun and intimidate, and a CL20 with a ranged attack and maybe poison, that part is up to you. The ranged aspect is so that the Krayt doesn't use an area attack and knock down both pets HAM. If he gets past your CL50 pet you might still be able to hold him back with that CL20 pet when it goes to Melee combat. Kind of a backup guard.
Of course this is up to you. I like having at least a second pet on standby just in case something else would spawn nearby, like a few tuskens or what have you.
I hope I presented another aspect of this for you.

You did! Thank you! This is exactly the feedback I'm looking for.
I'll keep checking this thread for ideas. For now, I'm off to the BE boards to figure out what I need to make a CL50ish pet like my new kimo, but with intimidate as well.
Thank you for the help,
Frosty

I know they stick on Enraged Rancors.
Also the other night I felt really foolish. I ran into a Giant Dune Kimo just west of Kimo city. I attacked it with Conceal shot while my Rancor and Mountain Dew stood guard. On the 8th or 9th shot (I don't remember anymore) I got the message stating too close to attack in this position. Then he warped to me and then away and then back at me. My Rancor hit him with Intimidate. Then I was killed with a tick from the Kimo's Disease. After he killed my Mountain Dew, my Rancor and him stopped fighting and then he despawned.
I have seen them land on high one mobs, but it depends on how you do it. I don't spam any special. I purposely type the command when I want it used. This allows me to know when I have actually asked for it and it wasn't placed by the pet on its own. I use both spatial and /tellpet depending on what I am doing, but I never use the command more than once for at least 10 seconds. Gives me two rounds of shots with my rifle.
By the way, when using my screecher and I send him in to place the first attack and I want to use the Plague Strike. I watch the combat queue. If he misses his first hit then nothing happens. If he hits on his first hit then 80% of the time the target is diseased.
So for me, they tend to stick pretty well when used sparingly. I don't overdo the specials unless I want something to happen. But that is just me, anyone else have thoughts on this?

EXCELLENT feed back ZonJai. Thank you.
I'm curious if there is going to be a magic time to put into my macro. ie. pause 2 seconds, or 10 seconds between attempts at intimidate.
I can't wait to try this out... First I have to make the right pet!
Keep the input coming!

They stick fine on enraged rancors and the like, try getting them to work on NS Elders/Protectors and Krayts is a different story. My second account is a Master Swordsman/Doc, my friend plays a MCH/Rifleman. While hunting alot of the nightsisters, the only thing he can bring to the plate are his pet specials and trust me, they won't stick on the higher mobs for crap.
Just to clarify, he was using a level 55 Bio Razor Cat with .50 hit .21 AS Intimidate/Blind specials. In all our fights I can confirm not a single 'super' high level mob we fought got blinded, i cannot confirm indimidation however, as my swordsman seems to be able to intimidate them fine.
