Greetings all,

I appologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question.

I am looking for good CH clothing. Is there any such thing, and where do I find some? I have only been novice CH for a couple of days, so I am still VERY much a newb. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I would like to mention that I am also a role player, somy threadshave to look cool. Ornamental robes or the like.

Thanks in advance,

Delari

All you need to do is find someone who's selling Bio-Engineer enhanced clothes.Basically Tailors make the clothes using a BE piece that increases Taming of bother Wild and Vicious creatures. I think the max is +25/+25. It really helps with actually taming creatures.

Sorry, I suppose I should have specified my wants. I am looking for BE clothing with taming bonus. I am not sure about the TK clothing. Defense, dodge, etc enhancements would be nice.

Thanks,

Delari

I paid about 100K in total for the following items on the Valcyn Server

Pants: +17 Cover/+14 Taming Wild and +14 Taming Vicious

Jacket: +17 Cover/+16 Taming Wild and +16 Taming Vicious

Hat: +25 Taming Wild/=25 Taming Vicious

Shirt: +17 Cover/+14 Mask Scent

I am only CH 0 1 1 1 and have not trouble taming any creature upto my allowable level. These clothes make a world of difference. I have onle had a couple of occasions where any baby has agro'd out on me. I usually tame most critters on the first try only

I paid only 18K for a jacket with +16 taming wild and vicious creatures a few weeks ago on Eclipse. Back before milk came out, I paid 100K plus 40K units of bone for a +12 taming wild and vicious shirt.

Just make the run around Coronet or Theed or whichever city you prefer, and hit all the shops in the suburbs. You never know what you can find.

Also, according to a post a few months back the total over your max natural skill is +25, although if it makes you feel bettergo ahead and pick up the other pieces that give you higher.

Does this cap take effect when you master or before then? My skill mods show +5 (what I gained at novice) plus a sum of all the others. Im currently only 0 1 1 1. I will try searchingfor that post. If it is maxed at +25 even at novice, I may ditch the other items of clothing. The hat itself should work fine then. Saves me from changing clothes each time I tame

Opiam,

This is the cap above your natural abilities. When you look at the skills window on the left hand side there is a section labeled, my abilities or my skills not sure which, it tells you all your stats, like rifle accuracy or two-handed accuracy, and language comprehension, and taming wild creatures, that window. When you look at your taming wild creatures it will have a number with a slash and another number, whenever you are wearing a skill enhanced article of clothing. If wearing just the +25 hat then the number on the right side of the slash will be 25 higher than the left side.

All that the skill enhancers do is up your chance of taming or controlling the creature. Look at it in terms of a percentage. 100% being always a tame, and 0% being never a tame. No one can get to 100% not even a Master CH (Edit: this is for viscious, on non viscious with taming clothes a MCH is over 100 on the skill box). All non CH are at 0%. As you gain Novice CH and then more skills in taming your % goes up. Say you are at Taming skill of 32 i.e. 32%, You have a 32% chance of taming that creature each try. If you add a +25 taming hat then you will be a taming of 57 or 57%. You now have 57% chance of taming the creature. You still cannot tame a creature higher than your CL abilities, but you will have a higher chance of success.

I hope that is a good example. Back before taming clothes were sold for under 1 million credits, I didn't have any and tried to tame a Kliknik Hunter. It took me over an hour, with at least 9 agroes and more than 30 attempts, but I got him.

On a side note, Wookiees get a species bonus automatically. So they are able to tame viscious creatures at either Novice or Tame 1, and they are able to tame just above their CL on non viscious creatures, (I may be wrong on this one item, but I know they get the option to tame certain creatures before non-wookiees can)

Good luck out there.
