Thread: How do I tell what the specials are for wild pets vs BE's

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered. But when I look in the datapad I can see every stat for a BE pet including the specials.

But I can train wild ones for SA1 or 2 but neither they data pad nor the examine key tells me which specials they use... ie Dizzy, Disease etc...

AM I doing something wrong or is it supposed to be this way.

Have to be high up the Ranger tracking tree for this creature knowledge. I think level 3 and/or 4 would give you that. I can't remember right now which it is as I passed those a long time ago. I know Master gives damage output, and I think 4 gives the to hit ratio, so I believe it is level 3 in Ranger tracking.

i myself think that is a flaw in the design

in the wild you should need the required ranger skills to examine and see wha t all the info is but when i have my own pet stored in my datapad i should be able to see all the stats of my own pet

am i the only one that feels this way ?

IG85, I agree with you and I do feel that way sometimes, but what I do is use SWGcreatures, they list everything the creature has.

Thanks guys - makes sense hey - as a Master CH you can't even tell what your pet is.

I can understand not knowing before it is tamed - but once it is inyour data pad you should have creature knowledge about your pet.

This has been an issue for a long time. At Master Scout you can see your pets level, and then of course Ranger tells you the rest. The argument you get when this is discussed, is that some say you should spend the points to get Master Scout, others say they should make Master Scout a prerequsite for CH. Others say just give us the ability to see the CL at Hunt4 of Scout. This of course is cleared up by them adding theadultCL in parenthesis in the datapad, which we didn'tuse to have.

The issue of not seeing specials, wasn't as important until they gave us control over those specials. Now you have to keep your own notes as to what does what. Basically they have a weak Ranger system that is good for some things, but is being slowly eliminated by new features. Nothing against Ranger, I loved it, and may go back sometime in the future, this was not why I left. They are trying to balance out the professions so that those that can intertwine can be a benefit to each other. (i.e. BH and Pistoleer, BH and CH, BH and Ranger, all from scout and marksman; CM and Doctor both from Medic, and then the Melee classes which I don't have much info on.)

Good luck to all
