Yes, I do not keep any other food/spice in top level pack because I know pets will eat whatever you have. The food did decrease by 1 and I figured ok... maybe just bug. Later that night I fed him again and then one more time and still never increased his stats.

Drag and drop the food from your inventory onto the pet. Using the "feed" command from the radial only removes wounds like it always did.

When doing it that way will it it only 1 portion of the food at a time? As each food has 3 portions.

Was that the only food in your inventory? Did the amount of food decrease? That is, do you really know your pet munched that particular treat???
