Oh man, my pet razor cat just kept growlin at me. I knew he was hungry but I was really busy trying to slice some guys weapon. Eventually it was just to much so I hit the feed button just to shut him up. Next thing I know he's all stumbling around and bumpin into things. I look in my inventory and my spare neutron pixie was gone! I fed my cat drugs!!!I'm waiting to see if he starts puking now.

The little darlings will eat anything you can eat that's in the main inventory. So do hide the spice and that expensive synthsteak and bivoli in a satchel or in your backpack.

That is some good advice. I can't count how many pieces of expensive food I have lost! Now I keep my good stuff in my backpack.

I have specifically separated my food from my pet food. Pastebread into inventory, Brandy/Canape/Synthsteak/Snowcake into the food bag.
