I am currently putting together some ideas for my high level tank.

The main thing that I want to know is, if i want my pet to hold aggro on a high level mob for example a krayt, do I need agression 3, or is it one of those abilities that doesnt seem to make much difference as long as the pet has level 1?. I have asked a few MCHs on my server but I don't seem to get consistent replies.

What are your observations please? Do I need Agression 3 on my pet for it to hold high level aggro or is level 1 perfectly adequate?

cant really comment on agression 1 or 2 but my lvl 69 reptilan flyer with aggression 3 holds aggro almost 100% of the time (so far)

For a successfull "tank" i guess you should be aiming for aggression 3.

Thus sets off page after page of responses. Halfof which are honest and true: "You must download the trial and see for yourself." Some are "sky is falling" responses. One or two suspect some trolling and question how the OP is able to post here. And the remainder latch on to one of the questions and debate the topic until flying pigs return carrying the wayward cows.

I also used a reptilian flier with aggression 3 (ungrouped) in a group last night, and the healers complained about it.
It held the aggro so well, no groupmembers were getting hit, and the healers got no medical exp

About the question whether it will be sufficient to only have L2 on a tank ... no idea, but I won't risk it.

i have a cl70 cat with aggro of 3.5% and without any aggro skills, it holds aggro fine vs most cl 80 missions I obtain. My template is MCH/TKM/Mbra.

I have been playing around with pet recipes to see what adds aggression and how much it really helps. BUT, so far, the cat is my best tank yet, only gave it Marring storm L1 so far.
