Thread: BE pet size growth

Here is my Theory:

BE pet CL= wild CL then it should get about the same size as the wild.

BE pet CL > wild CL then it will get bigger than in the wild.

BE pet CL < wild CL then it won't reach the size of its wild counterpart.

Its been my experience that the CL of the BE pet VS it'swild CL matters alot as to how big it gets. I have a CL 68 Razor Cat (24ishin the wild)thats bigger than a full grown normal Bantha. So for critters like Kimo's inwhich CL never reaches what it is in the wild then you won't see that kind of size that they get in the wild. If the CL of your Rancor is 50 or higher, then either it has some growing to do, or my theory is totally bogus, in which case ignore me.

I don't know, I bought 2 CL 35 gurrecks which are CL 50 in wild and reaches my chars waist. These two are now fully grown and the size of a dewback. Now, they do have an exceptional amount of health for lvl 35 so maybe that's what it goes by insted of only CL in wild.

Well to be honest, all the BE's I have ever obtained were Pre CU. They also all grew up before the new pet system was in place for growing pets. So they grew up on the datapad reguardless if I used them or not. The Razor Cat I have is CL 68 and was made before CU and has6219 hp, not out of line forsomething normally that CL. I didn't tame him till shortly after CU though since I was not a master till alittle after CU.The respec was nice and aforded me to get Master alittle ahead of schedule.Just glad I didn't have to grind it out twice since I have another master CH on a different server, who still has about 10 pets on a Droid's data pad, which was never intended to be possible and was changed about 2 months after Pay Beta 5.... I mean launch.

It is possible that those pre CU BE pets don't grow the same as they do now, so who knows.

I have been a MCH for about 2-3 months now and I bought a BE Rancor and a BE Kimogilla and I have been working with both of them but after they got to a certain size they stopped growing. The Kimo has grown to about my shoulder and the rancor has barley grown at all. I tamed a rancor from the wild 2 weeks ago and it's twice the size of my BE rancor. Is it normal for the giant sized BE pets to not grow as big as the wild pets? Thanks in advance.. JoJack

My Kimo is lvl 41 and my Rancor is lvl 68 and it just seems weird that they just stopped growing.. I havesmaller BE pets like banthas and bearded jax that have grown just as large as their wild counter parts but the large sized BE pets aren't even coming close to the size that the wild creatures grow.I didn't know if they made it so the the large pets stop at a certain size and if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them with their large sized BE pets.

The size of the wild skin matters, gurrcats are smaller than gurrecks in the wild, as are kimas and jax's... boar wolves about the size of gurrecks in the wild and so on. So, I have a CL 70 Kima that comes to my character's waist. (tallest twi'lek avatar) Another thing, it takes about 8 rollovers to fully grow a pet. so that might be why the rancor's still small, it's not fully grown yet. Anyway CL matters as to the size of BE pets, wild counterpart size also matters... a CL 70 gurreck is larger than a wookie. A CL 70 razor cat is on par with the size of a gurreck since in the wild they are about the same size...

Not sure if the size difference applies to pre-CU created pets. Since mine were already grown in my dpad and I didn't wanna ruin 10k h pets by taming them only to drop em to standard generic stats. However if the boar wolf isn't bigger than a wookie I would say, it doesn't apply to the pre-CU made pet.

First of all, since when can kimoligas be cl 48? they have a minimum lvl of 70 when BE, second of all, I have a baby cl 70 BE graul and it is already taller than me (a midsized twilek) and i havent used it in battle once so it has yet to start growing, I have seen enough BE pets to confirm that if they are > cl then their wild counterparts then they are going to grow bigger, if they are < their wild counterparts then they will be smaller and if they are = to their wild counterparts then they will be the same size.

As far as pet growth is concerned, I have a BE Rancor CL 36 and it isslightly smaller than thesize of a rancor youth, a CL 68 Boar Wolf that is GIANT, he's as tall as a wookiee at the shoulder and definately my favorite pet. ThenI have 2 Guf Drolgs that are CL 33 and 34 respectively, they're a bit larger than the typical ones found in the wild and they do show this though not by nearly as much difference as is seen in the other two examples. I think that it is proportional to the wild CL and the skin that is used not a simple all or nothing size determiner because a CL 36 Rancor is much less in CL than a wild one and a CL 68 Boar Wolf is barely larger than the wild version so it has to be a % difference in CL combined with some kind of data for the skin the BE uses. There is a tiny, we're talking nearly microscopicCL 10 Sludge Panther skin cat in my datapad, its full grown twin only came up to my knee and I'm a short as possible Rodian. This definately points to some kind of data in the skin being used in conjunction with the difference in CL between BE and Wilds.

So how do you explain my twin cl35 gurrecks that are about 3 times as big as the normal cl50 wild gurrecks?

The CL thing and the skin thing seems like it might be whats causing the small size, and thats sad to me..

I wish they would just go back to the old pet growth system of growth over time.. They could keep the training XP but let the pets grow over time that would be great. Also I wish nonCH could grow pets because I have5 people who want mounts and it takes about week sometimes more tofind and tame and grow a pet large enough to be a mount and thats for each mount. It was so much easier to tame a creature give that pet to a person and have them come back after it was full grown to be made in to a mount.
