Thread: Interesting new bug
Scouts are not tameable all creatures seem to have a scout version. My guess is that the scout model stretches back to the day when occassionally while fighting a nest one creature would show up and do greater damage and have higher health.
I havent noticed it of coarse wether they do hit harder. This is just one of the neat things you will see in game when it comes to creature variation.
If you are into seeing these cool creatures. Try yavin and blowing up a nest there the nests spawn boss npcs. Stuff like elder mamians and take a stab at the kliknik nests you will have a hoot.
There is also the domesticated variations on pets.
In a nutshell scouts do not have babies scouts have never had babies as far as I can tell. They are probabally meant to give nests a added little punch. Eventually some day the devs might give these scouts and the like something special to denote them even further.
The (scout) creatures are supposed to be the last ones you hit around a lair.
Because if you hit one before the others are gone, the scout is supposed to go back to the lair, rally the other mobs around the lair, and bring them all back on to you.
ANGRY.
At least that was the original behavior of a (scout) creature.
There must be something odd going on. Yesterday on Kauri - Naboo, I ran across "A Large Fambaa Lair" and they were CL 169.
I took screenies but I have no idea how to post them.
A couple friends came buy and had some fun with them - the jedi said she received 5k jedi experience for it but the down side was she got hit once and was insta-incapped! ![]()
Yeah, I saw a Crazed Gurreck on Endor with a CL 235
*shudder*
that fight would not be pretty.

*Crazed Gurreck hits Avaestus Ust'ell for 5487 damage!*
on the farstar galaxy reports of level 200 to 325 have been reported! not one lair but loads of them.
btw also agro npc's of level 200+ (one hit dead)

Scouts do NO more damage. What they will do is run back to the lair to draw aggro on creatures from that lair that you had not aggroed previously due to range. For example, you find a brackaset lair with four adults and a scout. You lure the scout 30m away from the others and attack. The scout has a possibility (especially with ranged attacks) to run away from you back to the lair and aggro the rest so that you are now fighting all five.
I'm not sure if it still works since I've been melee for a long time.

I've seen a CL 498 Baz nitch, CL 198 boar wolves and CL 149 Mereks. they all still spawn and are very random.
