Thread: So hows the scout grind goin on TC? Mask scent got a minor nerf as well..........

Title says it all. The scout grind isnt so bad once you get some combat skills I'm currently 4/4/4/4 marksman and 2010 scout and I get roughly 100 XP for harvesting CL13 critters so its gonna take awhile to get the prerequs for CH. So I decided to get maskscent to help with the grind bysetting up a sit/stand maskscent macro outside of bestine and going AFK while I sleep/study. So I finally get it and decide to test it on yard trash and wadda ya know. You no longer get XP by maskscenting for non-agro creatures.

The days of getting xp while afk may be gone for most profession. But even if you can only get xp from argo creatures, you will still be able to rack it up fast by riding a swoop all over Dath, Endor or Yavin while you use mask scent.

I don't think I ever got xp for mask on non-agro creatures. It has been awhile since I've done this though, so I may be wrong. I've been maxed on scout xp for a long long time... Anyway, just what I thought...

That's my understanding as well. I don't remember if we used to get XP for non-aggros, but it was a long time ago if so. Your scent mask shouldn't even be getting checked against non-aggros.

I can confirm that mask scent vs. non-aggros hasn't been giving xp for quite some time. I use it to convert to senses xp.
But I think it is checked vs. non-aggro creatures. When I don't have it on, they scatter, they stick around when I have it up.

I also cannot remember ever getting xp for non-aggro creatures. Even as far back as Nov of 03.
Although, against aggressive creatures the "free" xp for hauling butt around the nasty planets is a good bonus.

They did away with the exp on non-argos a long time ago. I think around the same time as non-argos could break mask scent.
