I just got novice CH this afternoon, and I am really excited about going out into the wild and taming my first pet! Only problem is, I tried /tame on both babies and adults, and couldn't tame anything. I know this is a realn00b question, and is probably answered somewhere in the forum, but I didnt see anything recent that really explained the steps to taming a wild creature (short of "Go buy a dewback and take advantage of exploits to level your character"). Can someone explain to me the proper steps in taming a creature, or point me to a thread that does?

Go up to a non aggressive baby, and to the /tame command, thats it, you will say 3 commands to the baby, and then either tame or fail.
You cannot tame anything but babies.

You can tame pretty much every creature that is non-aggro (wild, i.e. is a yellow dot on your radar). Keep in mind that you can only tame creatures with "(baby)" after their name. Vicious creatures (the ones the show up as red dots on your radar) can be tamed immediately by wookies, but other species have to wait til Taming II before you can tame their babies.

I suggest heading to Camp Tusken(Wayfar / Tatooine) for some good CH xp. You can get a max of 1800 CH xp if you spawn and kill the king tusken. Captains give about 640 xp, and most other tuskens give 240 xp.

Hey 3d4d --
What creature were you using to get that kind of xp per kill? I get like 500 max with my Cu Pa!
