Wondering what skills u could add to give yourself some combat skills?

IS Bio Engineer/CreatureHanlder combo dead now?

Don't seem to see it very often anymore.

If you wanted some combat skills along with Master Bio-Engineer, and Master Creature Handler, you would have enough skill points for 1 tree in an elite combat profession.

I.E. as I'm doing, I could gain xx4x Pistoleer (I do have a different template, being Droid Engineer, not Bio-Engineer, but the skill point cost is actually the same, seeing as tho Bio-Engineer and Creature Handler share a common Scout tree, and the Medic tree would just replace the Artisan Engineering tree).

Post-CU, the only viable combat would be 1 tree in Bounty Hunter (the Bounty Hunter pre-reqs also shares a Scout pre-req with Creature Handler, and the Ranged Support tree in Marksman would cost the same as the Pistols tree).

I don't know how common this is, or how good you'd be. Personally, I do pretty well on my own with buffs and stuff if I wanna go out onto either Dantooine or Yavin 4, and hunt stuff such as pikets or Dantooine, or crystal snakes on Yavin. Post-CU with only a tree in Bounty Hunter tho, I dunno how well it will fare.

My GF plays Master CH/BE with rifles 0040 I think and has done for about 9 months now.

Not a big hitter by any stretch of the imagination, but i sure enjoy those lvl 65-70 tanks she makes.

Hopefully these big pet tanks are gonna be a force in CU.

my gf too plays a MCH/MBE, makes pets, sells em, and has her own personal collection. Also has a bit of pikeman for combat, but primarily just loves to make/tame/have her own pets

I had to drop BE so I could survive. what point is it having creatures that fight if you can't survive combat?

i'm MCH/MBE with 3/x/x/1 rifleman. i just enjoy making the pets and then using them, and the dna sampling is a great way to go through a creature mission mob without having to firea single shot. i can take $20k missions on dant with my twins and a droid, and i can complete those missions on my own......takes a bit of time and a lot of pet stims......but i do it fairly regularly. i also hunt with a rifleman/comando friend, and with both of us using Headshot3, my pets hardly take any damage and we can get a set of four missions done in about 20 minutes (less if we pay attention and get missions close to one another), and we can pull $30k missions from a mission termanal in a player city with improved job market.

with the combat revamp coming up, i won't be able to keep this template.....but i'm playing three characters, so i'm just doing some re-arranging, and having my MBE be another player, and I'll probably have my MCH with comando for combat back-up for my pets.

Remind me again how much damage pets do compared to players? I don't play this game to stand around and be a meatshield. If I wanted to stand around and let the computer play for me I would not pay them to do it. The simple point I was making is that in our present incarnation we are not effective in combat. That's all bud.

And I do fight in groups

**raises hand** I'm definately a BE/CH combo. I'm also a pikeman. Though I suck at combat, the status effects that my BEd pets give make me useful in group fights.

I think it's a great combo. I'm able to make money by selling pets, and I can also use any of the pets I create.

mch/mbe pistoleer 0/0/4/0 for fanshot.. I'm not out there hunting down the bigger krayts or gdk but I can handle most anything with the right pet(s) and proper pistol choice.. enjoyable gameplay for me personally because I'm a ch at heart but a fella has to put bread on the table so I turn out what I love for other pet lovers

Each day I miss my BE more and more. Bought an alt just to do it again.
