i ve tamed taught and fought with my pets and im not getting any exp. do creatures have to be my level?

I've been fighting level 78-82 stuff, and getting approx 5k exp per kill. That gets split between ch and weapon, so solo I am getting 2-3k. In a group for awhile, I was getting the total in ch exp as I wasn't actually attacking with my weapon, just letting the creature do the work.

Check and make sure your not capped out on CH exp. That's my current issue. I'm caped out lower than the tiers I need cost. almost like it's using preCU numbers.

Make sure to look at your combat log, I don't see any XP gains as system messages, but I see it in the combat log.

creatures you fight have to be higher than your pet....at least and probably yourself...for you to get an xp

I was getting very nice XP today using a gurreck against level 70 or so mobs on Dantooine.I say "mobs" now because they are personality stripped "mob bags" that no longer have unique stats by species. Apparenlty it was not possible for the developers to do things right, so they cheated and imposed this thrice-dammed elf game level system on SWG's skill based structure, and the result is this abomination called the CU

I finally got xp today, other than tame/teaching babies. Im level 55, my pets are in their 20-30s. I couldnt get jack for xp if they took on something their level. Finally I went to Endor and had them take on mobs my level and got xp.

I had to group with my pets to get CH xp. For missions it looked to me like Corellia was newbie planet (got max of 15), Naboo mid-level (got max of 50, good for my 40s toon), and Tatooine higher end (got a min of 65 but there might just be a mid-level gap). But you can find faction level missions around your level everywhere.

Actually scratch that...looks like player cities have the higher end missions on Tat, and the normal cities have max of 15.
