If you are too lazy to even ride your speeder and look for them then my god. Most of us are rangers anyway, why would we want to make rangers even more useless. Rangers don't have alot going for them except Track, if they have to share that with us then they'd be as useful as a chef... err i mean CH, chefs own now.

its called ranger tracking. taking it all the way to level 4 has the largest area track short of master ranger. at level 3 you can still master a combat profession.

Created Account July 2003 - Canceled account Nov 2005. The NGE made me do it.

No. This is supposed to be a Ranger skill.

If you want the ability to track babies, pay for it with skill points.

Yep thats the way to do it. I have Master Pistol to go with Master CH. Master Scout and 3 levels of Tracking. Problem is the creatures that usually have a baby out before tapping a lair is rarely worth taming. ( Before the Flame there have been those exceptions for players with the golden horseshoe up thier butt. )

I have Tracking 4 in Ranger and it does help locating babies. There is about a 450M radius that you search for animals. Plus I can also track NPC's and Players at this level.

Ditto on leaving it with Ranger. If you want to track, spend some of those skill points. I did.

Or, barring that, spend credits on a ranger. You can always go travel together.

In fact, if you can, I urge you to do this. Rangers feel so under-appreciated. They have some nifty abilities, but no one wants them.

If there were corpse runs, then a Ranger's camo ability would kick butt! But, there aren't, so Rangers are lonely.

But Rangers can help out Creature Handlers. And I'm sure they'd be pretty happy to show off their skills and make a little extra credit on the side.

Rangers need lovin'.

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.

I agree with most of the posters here. This is much better left off to the Rangers. I hire rangers on a semi-regular basis to help me find babies and I wouldnt want it any other way.

I disagree big time with this.

You want tracking, you learn the Ranger skill.

I see a fairly constant theme on these boards, that is that the Devs should give CH's abilities from other classes yet other classes should not be alllowed CH abilities, aka Droids, aka BE Pets. Double standards I call it.
