For roleplaying purposes I started up a Wookie CH/BE.

Anyway, its tough trying to level both of those at the same time, you are either grinding BE or out there grinding CH. So Im only novice on both. Anyway, I really want to get to the point where I can scoop a mount, so planning on powering up the Creature Management tree first. But what other trees are good to go up next? Which has the most "playability". Im mostly solo.

Plus anyone else find it weird to get to the point where you can train animals and they become your friends you have to kill hundreds of animals to strip their resources to get the requisite XP?

Seems like it would have a detrimental affect on Creature Empathy!

The Training branch gets you the stored pets, and having lots of pets, even low level ones, is very attractive to me. When I was climbing the ladder, adding storage space was always a major event.

I'm with Sio, training's got the most bang for the buck since you get most all of your pet storage from that tree. It's usually easy enough to find an MCH to train mounts for you, might cost you a few K.

What I did, working both profs, is to go to a mid planet like Endor. You can get a ton of taming and sampling XP from a single trip. As you get some more skills, Yavin's a good choice too. My key was always high-density. This past week, I've spent some time doing enraged rancor missions with a group. Even with a lvl 40 tank out, you still get 1K CH xp per rancor.(With that group, the DMA kept the rancor at range) With a more skilled group, Iused a lower level pet and got 1680 XP. That's real helpful in climbing those 140K boxes at the top.

And I like the Taming tree which lets you train vicious pets which tend to bestronger (i.e. better resists)than the non-vicious. So, I suppose it's a matter of do you want to be able to store more pets or tame more pets. When I was working on the skill trees, I tried to stay balanced so that I could tame more pets and have room to store them.

Thanks for the help. Extra pets would be nice as all mine are pretty low level. I could rotate them, that makes a lot of sense. The way the trees are structured it looks like climbing each at the same time looks pretty advantageous. I guess.

Im over on Dantooine right now, no armour, with my scout pistol and no vehicle! weeeeee. I can usually only find one lesser plains bol mission at a time, but they seem to be a real gold mine, pumping out at least two babies per lair, not too mention all that yummy adult DNA!
