Sorry but I could not find the info. I am debating going Management III so I can call 2 pets. Will this allow me to effectively get double XP per kill ? Thanks in advance!

Teamed pets are good if you want to kill something faster or if you are going after something thats pretty tough. But as far as xp, tou don't get double the amount, you actually kind of get the same amount as one, but halved between pets (I think, not sure how the mechanics of CH xp work), so if you want xp, better to use a low level, but strong pet (I suggest a Desert Razorback or a Mountain Dewback for someone at your level).

If you are into the whole tame/train/release bit, having the ability to call 2 pets is handy though.

You call 2 babies... use the radial menu on each, set the train command on each then issue

your command.... if you are lucky 2 trained babies with 1 command. It's a pain when one of the

babies doesn't learn, but I have found that training using this double baby method seems to

lessen the tedium of training.

Back in the good old days, priror to the nuclear nerfing of publish 5, double the pets, double the XP.

No longer. You effectively get XP in combatfrom only one pet.

It's still worthwhile to have two pets out, however, in that you don't have to store your mount or bodyguard pet while you tame and train a TTR baby.

I used two lesser plains bols to get me through the last few boxes of CH.

(Forgive me for what I'm about to confess to...)

After slowly working my way through the CH trees for four months, I decided that enough was enough. I parked myself on the beaches of Coronet with a CDEF and set two lesser plains bols to guard me. (This was after the XP nerf.)

Because of my poor thug faction, the Meatlumps would attack me immediately. My pets would rush to my defense and kill the 'lump. I had a macro running to autoloot corpses, so I was set. It took me about a week to finish up CH, and I picked up a few lightsaber crystals along the way.

The advantage of using twin pets is that they take much less damage apiece. It allows AFK macroing, like I used to finish, to be done far more efficiently. Basically, it gives you twice the HAM of a pet to give you the same XP.

Using two pets are nice, the downside is if only one of your two pets attack the target you only get half the XP instead of the full XP.

Examples:

One lvl 20 pet called out

After pet attacks/damage target x

you gained 40 XP points (as an example)

Two lvl 20 pets called out

After both pets attack/damage same target x

you get two messages for 20 XP each total of 40 XP like above

Two lvl 20 pets called out

After only ONE pet attacks/damage target x

you will only get 20 XP points instead of 40 XP points even though the other pet did nothing.

Because of this, i only used one pet at a time when grinding XP.
