Oh man, I want one so bad.

Where was the lair? The only time I ever see pack leaders is from static spawns (no lair)

Depop happened to me as well and it makes me mad. I wanted a pack leader, had a chance at one, but the lair reset on me. I will own a pack leader sometime soon. I just sold two guardian babies a few minutes ago. They're not as rare as I thought. They spawn quite easily.

Directly east from the Dath Outpost, there's a plateau before you get to rancor valley. Roam this plateau, you'll find all kinds of rhoa kwi lairs.

if you give up for a while and hunt on endor for something else, you'll find it.

they always tend to spawn when you're not looking for them.

something in the game code maybe, heh

yeah I saw a few west of the outpost as well... but those bastards are mean... I kept getting Guardian babies to spawn but no pack leaders and the lair kept spawning so I didn't get any down time to heal up... I have to go back with some friends Next time...

So, I was hunting gaping spiders on Dathomir with a friend. When we come upon a pack of Rhoa Kwi's. I decide to give it a quick shot at getting a Packleader baby. So we begin the slaughter. We drop about 7 Rhoa Kwi's, then all of a sudden, a baby Packleader and guardian spawn. I call my pet off and begin to run and try and /peace out. I run and run and run as my pet keeps trying to attack. Until I am finally incapped because of three Rhoa Kwi's following me. I wait for the incap timer and wake up to only be incapped once again by a nearby Rhow Kwi as the babies walk off into the distance.

I finally get back up and go back to the direction of the babies to see that they are gone. So, here I am incredibly pissed off, and after killed all Rhoa Kwi's in the area, I ask my friend if we can go looking for another Kwi lair.

So we look for about another 20 minutes and finally find a lair. We kill the Packleader and Rhoa Kwi, then tap the lair for two more. All of a sudden, a Packleader baby spawns, so I run, calling my pet close /peacing out. The baby finally tired of chasing me stops and turns around, so now I have plenty of room to do my /tame fail /tame fail only to tame it on the first try.

Hey, whats the stats on the pack leaders,I was stoked when I tamed the Guardian , but then I realized they nerfed it in that last patch, used to be medium armor....and its still decent, 65% energy even without armor, my strafe2 took a little bit to take down the adults...and is the pack leader considered the best creature a tamer can get now? I havent been dealing with this part of the new patch, I have actually been buying some real high end cl 35 bio eng pets...I would like to know if the pack leader is worth hunting for, I have an itch to get back to getting the best pets out there.

Packleader stats are 11KHAM 460dmg light armor and 35% kinetic resist. They also spit. So yeah, they are worth it.

There's no excuse to be aggroed & lose a rare baby. Ever.

All you have to do is use a ranged bleed of any sort. Mask scent. Get up to about 60 meters. Lay PRONE (vital). Hit the special to bleed 'em, then hit peace right away. They will not aggro. Move back to about 100 meters, & the bleeding enemy will come away fro mthe lair, to you. Once he gets about 80 meters, send a pet to intercept. This will usually end up w/ a fight going on between your pet & the bleeding aggro critter. Finish it off. Rinse & repeat.

ALWAYS lead adults aways from the lair if you either cannot sneak up & steal away an existing baby. ot need to make a baby pop. This is especially vital on static spawns, as they are so unpredictable (and tend to suddenly drop an aggroed adult on top of you the second the coast was clear & you hit "tame" on a lone baby.

And when yo uare taming...keep your weapons UNEQUIPPED.

Have ar1 35% kinetic, yes but the 65% to energy is what makes them stand tall above anyother tamable creature.
