Thread: MCH and ????

Hello All!
I have started up my second character, and have decided to go MCH as its core. My other character is done (see sig details below), I call him my "Black Ops Commando" because of his ability to survive just about anything and any situation (Feign death, TK self-heals everything but fatigue, plus medic), plus he holds his own in PvE and PvP (Master Fencer & Master Pistoleer).
My second character is named High-Priest Jakan, and he will be almost exclusivley a PvE kind of guy. MCH is fun for me, and as I get all my faction/stroyline driven PvP needs meet with Jinook , I will be free with Jakan to just focus on PvE adventures. So heres the question. What would you vote for, between the following two options, as a template... and why?
MCH, Rilfleman 4-4-4-0, Pistoleer 4-0-4-0, Nov Medic: My pets most the work (which is the goal), decent def mods, and the ability via pistol to handle an enemy that rushes in.
or
MCH, BH 3-4-4-0, Nov Pistol, Nov Medic: Pets again stay primary combatants, Weak def mods, I think great specials (?), close in and mid distance firepower, and the ability to run BH missions (again, PvE will be this characters primary focus).
So what do you think?
Also, as a side question, at MCH how many pets can you control at one time? And how can I know what level pets I can have as I proceed through the CH grind?

Will a Spraystick not do the Handling of Enemies who close to melee with you?
You will see that you can extend the usefulness of your pets with good petstims,
so you might want to be close.

You can control 3 pets. The total CL of all three can not be greater than 70. When you get Management 3 you can control 2 pets who total CL does not exceed your Max Pet Level. As a Novice you can handle a CL 12 non-aggressive pet. You get a +2 to this CL for each box in the first two rows of the skill tree you acquire. The third row adds +3 per box, the fourth row adds +4 per box and Master adds +10 for a total of CL 70. To be able to use aggressive pets, creatures that show up red on the radar, you need Tamining II or Be clothes with +25 to Taming Vicious.
The Master Rifleman/MCH is a very poplar build. You will not need the pistol skills with it. IMO The pets tank and you shoot from a distance. TKM/MCH is my build. I like fighting along side my pets and the Meditation tree is quite useful when you are in the wilds of a remote planet and the damage is impressive.

Rifleman isn't that strong until you get master then it rocks. I like my MRM/CH combo. I'm almost to MCH and finally getting some animals who tank well so I'm able to stand back and fire at range. As a master rifleman even close in enemies aren't a huge problem your aiming pluses balance out the range negatives so you hit 3 out of 4 times. Using the right specials you can take an animal down fast. It is also handy to have range for those situations where you get a small tank and large enemy running all around trying to optimize their attack ranges, you can reach out and hit the enemy easier than a close in skill can.

Another vote for MCH/MRM, I love sending in my pet to attack a lair, get all the mobs to agro the pet, then just pick away at em with my rifle from 60m away.
