Ive spent most of my CH career using cats (about 5 months). But recently Ive been trying to usea couple rancors and a couple grauls.
Now my cats have always been fearless, sticking to the fight till almost entirely dead.
But these big brutes seem to have their tails between their legs for most of a fight. Heck I get whiplash watching them run back and forth across the screen when they have 1/2 ham left. Is this typical or have I just got some babies that had been beaten when they were small?

I think its a factor of size difference. I have the same problem when I send boar wolf in against famba. The two are constantly running around trying to get to their personal combat distance. Those same boar wolf are completely fearless and stay put with animals that are closer to their size and don't have long necks so that close proximity suites both animals.

Havent had a chance to retest it on ideal range, that could be the problem. Anyone else with experience in this?

yes definately, the bigger creatures like grauls and rancors always run - which is normally a nightmare as they can get out of tracking range very quickly and you end up having to look for them for 5 minutes...
