Sup all I'm new to the CH profession and I got a few questions for you old times.

1. Is it better to have a ranged profession or a melee profession as a secondary? I was think of Swordsman or Rifleman, right now I'm Master Pistoleer and will keep MP tell I Master CH.

2. What can you tank as a Master CH with a level 70 pet?

3. At Master CH when you grp your pet for missions, what level missions can you get?

4. Do you still get double xp for having two pet attack at once?

5. Is Medic 4,2,0,0 good for heal your pets?

6. Are pet stim's a must, if so what kind should I get?

7. How is Master CH in PvP?

8. Are BE pets still better then normal pet?

Thxs for all the help,

Donta

1. ranged or melee, ranged allows your pets to tank better.

2. Depends, get a good B/E 70 pet with nice resists can take out alot. Sorry but it depends on what you want to hunt.

3. Solo group with pets can get close to 55

4. No

5. Dont need medic at all, use pet stim packs

6. yes, look for the highest you can get. I have 912's i think, I have heard of alot better depends on your server.

7. dead, PvE only. Unless you can get in the right group. However, our pets do full damage again so it might be better now.

8. Yes

1. Ranged or melee? Probably ranged, although the key is the profession you find most enjoyable. I'm ranged (Master Bounty Hunter, with the ability to use CL-35 pets), but a friend is a Teras Kasi master. His style relies on speed. Also, when he uses a pet, the creature they're attacking will often spin confusedly between them, alternating its attacks. By contrast, my game revolves around the pets being just tough enough to hold their ground while I dish out heavy damage from range, choosing whichever weapon and damage type best exploits my target's vulnerabilities.

2. What can you tank? I top out at CL-35 with my pets, but I recently picked up a good bioengineered CL-32 razor cat with light armor and 60% Kinetic resistance. He does an excellent job tanking for me against everything I've tried so far, including Enraged Rancors. I've used a natural graul mauler to tank against Nightsister Rangers and Singing Mountain Clan Dragoons. That's worked fairly well,as long as I fought them one-at-a-time. Natural grauls/graul maulers have good resistances, but no armor, so they take a lot of damage. More than one NS Ranger at a time and it gets hairy. I should get better results with my razor cat.

3. What level of missions? With two pets and a combat droid out and grouped, I can pull level-48 missions.

4. Do you get double CH XP for two pets? Nope. It's split between the pets, with the ratios depending on their level.

5. Is Medic 4-2-0-0 good for healing your pets? Pet stims function independently of Medic skills. You can even use them if you have no medic skills at all!

6. Are pet stims a must? YES! The strongest pet stims are Stim-D's, although they are hardest to find due to the difficulties in harvesting enough fish meat to make them in quantity. I like to buy Stim-C's by the crate, and however many individual bottles of D's I feel like carrying in my inventory. At low pet levels, Stim-B's are handy, since a good higher-power stim can often juice a low-level pet more than it needs. One nice feature of pet stims is that they heal all three elements of the pet's HAM, including Mind. But you'll still want to teach your pets tricks, to keep their attack efficiency up and heal any Mind wounds. Also, feed them regularly to heal Health and Action wounds. Any foraged item will allow you to do this, so long as you have it in your main inventory.

6. How is Master CH in PvP? I don't know; I haven't gotten to MCH due to skill-point shortages.

7. Are bioengineered pets still better than normal pets? Yes, by a wide margin. The biggest advantage of BE'd pets is armor, even at moderate levels.

One thing that you'll notice once you start acquiring pets with special attacks, is broken pet specials. Specifically, Knockdown, Poison, and Disease are all broken, and they've been broken for a long time. Please, add your voice to the cacophony lobbying for a fix.
