I was just wondering what happens to your pets if you give up your CH skill points? Do they go *poof!* or can you just not use them anymore?

They take up space in your datapad until you either delete them or level up CH again so you can call them.

You just lose the ability to call them. Before you drop CH skills I suggest you get yourself a few novice level pets to regrind with should you ever want to pick up CH again

Pets stay in your datapad.
However if you ever remove a pet you wont be able to place it back in your pad due to your decreased storage limit.
As a Non ch this is 2.
So might be a good idea to have a non ch pet so if you ever pick up ch again you have someoen hwer eto start.

If they're CL 10 or below pets, you can call them normally, and they'll return to the datapad when you're done.
If they're above CL 10, you can't call them without the novice box, or enough pet calling points to coax them out of the datapad. I wandered around for almost a year after dropping MCH with a gurreck and a rancor sitting on the datapad, uncallable.
They're out roaming about again, of course.
