Hi there. Sorry if these questions have been asked before. I've been a CH for about a year of extremely casual playnow, but it's time for me to focus on my crafting. I can't bear to just release my CH skills without anything to show for them, so I'm heading for the mastery badge. Right now my skills are at 4-4-0-3. My two questions are:
Can a bio-engineer make me a crate of critters to train? The grind is driving me nutty.
If you were to drop all of your CH skills and have one mount, which would it be?Are there cool rare creatures that only former CHs could ride? Am I understanding the rules correctly that a non-CH can even have a mount?
Thanks,
Kosser

A bio-engineer could make you pets but I think you would have a hard time finding one willing to do so... For me the "easiest" way was to fight alongside my pets- which of course could get a wee bit hairy if you have no fighting skills...
My favorite CH mount is either the bull bantha or the brackaset - as a non-CH you will need to get a bio-engineered mount since all wild spawning mounts require that you are a CH - the lowest wild spawning mountis level 11 if I remember correctly...
As far as I am aware it does not matter if you are a "former" CH - you will need to have the correct level for the pet you are trying to tame/call...

Without the adequate combat skills to tank for your pet your going to find it very hard. Its far easier to have a reasonable combat template and either group on Dant or Dath for generous lair spawns and cycle pet for one hit through the targets OR try squill cave. I have a lvl 18 tamed Woodland Kima that gets 600-900 xp with one hit on anything I kill in there. Enraged rancs give 1440xp (!) if your tactics and combat skills are up to it.
If you are DESPERATE for the badge then it would actually be quicker to grind TKA and then complete with one of the above methods than struggle on with no combat. I believe I managed TKA in 5 or 6 buff sessions on Dant with Hurrton stalkers.

Both Lesser Plains Bol and Carrion Spat are CL 10 and under wild, and mountable...

ya, pretty much grinding creature handler with just training and taming pets has to be the worst idea ever. it could be done, but I would rather stick needles in my eyes.
hit the geo caves ffs.

Unfortunately, it's not possible for a BE to grind out a "crate" of kaadu or something for you to TTR. The DNA templates are unique and can't be stacked for a factory grind. EachBE critteris hand made, basically.

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. Ekaw, your combat macros give me hope for the future.
