Whats the fastest way to master CH?
There is no quick and easy way to do it in my opinion CH is probably the second hardest grind in the game next to Jedi. You recive CH xp based on the difference in the CL of the creature/NPC your fighting and the CL of your pet. To get CH xp your pet only has to hit the mob once to recive full xp and remember that if you use a pet with too low a CL you xp gain will be reduced but if you use a pet with to high a CL your xp will be reduced as well so each mob has a "sweet spot" of pet CL that will maximize you xp gain. For instance against blacksuns on endor I was getting around 500 xp with a CL 10 pet but when I used a CL 34 pet I got 1.1k xp per blacksun. Also using two pets at a time will only divide the xp between the pets and will often times give you less overall XP.
I have X ammount of skillpoints where should I put them?
CH is not a profession to dabble in. You will not see any kind of real increase in "power" till you hit master. So to help answer your question heres a breakdown of the CH skill tree.

Gives you the ability to tame higher level agressive creatures (the ones that turn red on radar and autoattack you).

Gives you more pet storage which is always a good thing.

Gives you several good commands such as Enrage (puts your pets in a berserk state for a short time) and Embolen (gives pets a 15% boost in HAM for a short time) and the ability to train the group command.

Gives you the ability to train mounts and have two pets out at the same time provided there combined CL dosent exceed your max CL
Which pet is best at X/X/X/X level?
The answer is almost always a BE (BioEngineered) pet. With the exception of a few rares BE pets will always have much better resists, HAM, specials, and a much lower CL than anything in the wild of comparable power. Also unlike other combat profession where the type of gun you use can make a huge difference in combat. The pet skin has little to do with how strong a BE pet can be. They can make Durni that will pwn a Rancor.
Ok I get it BioEngineered pets are best, but what pets can I tame at X/X/X/X level?

When I try to tame a creature that I know is at or below my max CL it says you can not tame that creature. Am I bugged?
There is always the SLIGHT possibility that there is something wrong with your character,but more than likely its because the creature is agressive and your taming vicious creatures skill isnt high enough. Try buying some BE clothes with a +25 taming viciouscreature bonus or getting more of the 4/0/0/0 line.
Is there any way to command pets and not spam spatial?
Yes its called the tellpet command. To use this type /tellpet (petcommand). For instance if your pet is trained to attack when you say kill you would type /tellpet kill. There are 3 main advantages to using this instead of just pressing somethign like A. 1 it dosent spam spatial, 2 it has a longer range (150mI think), 3 its faster. I would reccomend making a macro for your most used pet commands like attack, follow me, and the specials. To do this press ctrl + A and click the macro tab, now click new macro and give it whatever name and symbol you want. Now in the macro text type in /tellpet (pettcommand);and ALWAYS remember to put a ; at the end of every command. Also remember that tellpet will not work with single letter commands so use full words when doing this.
How do I name pets?
First you have to be able to train 4 different commands. Now to actually name the pet you have to bring up the radial menu, select a command to train, then say the pets name then the command like "Kitty s" without the " " marks. Also when using the /tellpet command to name pets the first letter of the name has to be lowercase. /tellpet Kitty s will not with but /tellpet kitty s will.
Is there any way to make money as a CH?
CH is not a money making profession on its own but here are some ways to make some cash. Grouping with pets to raise your mission levels like a solo group is becomming pretty popular and is fairly effective, with CL70 in pets and a CL 18 droid grouped to me I can pull 20k Janthamissions on dantooine. You could also train CL10 mounts for people but dont expect a huge payout from this because people generally dont pay more than a few K and some get offended when you try to ask for an ammount like 10k. Another good way to make cash is to harvest organics for docs. Depending on your server you can get upwards of 150 CPU for good avian meat.
How does CH do as a combat class?
CH has the lowest DPS (Damage Per Second) of any combat class in the game. The highest damage a pet can have under the new BE crafting system is 600ish I belive. This is max damage, gets no multipliers from specials, andis AP0 kinetic damage. Pick up novice marksman and you will double your damage output.
Which profession should I use with CH?
Only you can answer this question. I personally preffer to use a ranged class such as Rifleman so I can send pets in to tank while I stand back from a safe distance and blast whatever critter/NPC is begging to feel my wrath. While others like to be in the thick of things fighting with their pets as a TKM,Swordsman, or other meele class.
Whats the best way to fight with pets?
The best way to fight with pets is to send them in to attack the lairand draw aggro this way while you kill off whatever mob is attacking your pet we call this "tanking". I would advise against using this tactic when trying to tame a baby because you can not tame a baby while it is in combat and this tactic greatly increases the chances that you or your pet will wind up killing the baby.
Can I use pets to solo high end content such as Krayts or NS?
Yes but it takes alot of skill/luck. Your best bet for Krayts is two BE CL 35 pets with intimidate, stunning strike,AR1 and60% kinetic. Get them doc buffed for regen and primary stats and have alot of stims handy. For NPCs such as NS your best bet is a 100% Blast/Stun BE pet and pray that the NS elder you just aggroed will pull a Power Hammer or Stun Baton,because if it pulls anything else your pet is as good as dead.
Ok I get it CH is gimped in combat, but is there any way to make CH viable in PvP?
I personally use pets successfully in PvP. The key is to use pets to land state effects like dizzy, intimidate, posture down, and stun while you focus on doing damage to your opponent. Keep in mind that this is only in one on one duels and small scale group encounters where I can focus on one opponent and put all my energies and efforts on him/her. In large scale PvP your better off leaving the pets at home.

Honestly, I think you're exaggerating the difficulty of CH grinding. You get 100xp for every creature you tame and every command you teach. About mid-way up the CH tree you're getting 1000xp per baby. You dont need to travel far from the main cities (ie cnet) to find lots of baby creatures. Recently I spent about an hour in this 300m square area outside mos eisly with several creature spawns. I think I tamed about 35 cratures in that time (roughly 40000 xp for me).
Admittedly, this is an extremely boring form of grinding, but its possible to occupy yourself with other things after you initiate a "taming" (for example, I read a book).

Compaired to another combat class such as Rifleman or TK the CH grind is long and hard for those who dont know anything about the profession.

Seriously though, As much as a lot of people hate them, I would suggest all noob CH spend the cash, and get a good BE pet and a bunch of high quality pet stims (1K heal or better). Also, The importance of bio clothes cant be stressed enough. A +15 tame shirt can always be worn, even under armor, so theres no excuse not to wear it at all times (Unless youre at a party or wedding or something) because you never know when you'll see something you want to tame. Last night I was just running around helping a friend with a mission, and out of nowhere, we spotted a rare spawn. Thanks to the fact I had my taming shirt on (I never take it off) and a bit of luck, I got the tame on the first try.
Also, if youre picking up CH, dont get a melee profession unless youre already leveling one. Go rifles. Rifles does high damage, keeps the aggro off you, and is a LOT cheaper than most melee professions. (On my server, scythes cost 2-3 million credits, good power hammers go for up to 800K, and axes go for 1.2 mill)

to make creds and level, get a TKM friend or any other combat proff, and a reasonable pet, go to the enterance of the geo bio labs, 2/4 crazed geos spawn quite often, and pay out over 1k of xp a time, get a friend to tank, get stun armour, and your sorted! 
its how i got as far as i am, and its taken me about a week to get 3324.
