Thread: Um did i miss something!? PVP and CH

so i was in theed the other day and i saw a reb shooting stormies, i wasnt buffed, so i figured i would whip out my 10k HAM w/armor kimo. I send him after the guy and 2 shots and my kimo is down. O_o when were pets nerfed so terribly in pvp?

Actually pvp for pets has been improved damage wise. Can't see him killing a Kimo in 2 shots unless this was some level 10 kimo with very little mind. Only Jedi have the + to damage on pets with less than 25K.

I find actually CHcan work well in PvP sometimes, you just hafta fight the right opponent. Stay away from people with big hammers, glowy sticks, rifles, flamethrowers, and with the right pet combination you can give anyone arun for their money. THe secret is to not try to do damage with the pets since that pretty much never works, and instead get a good BE team with all the state attacks, dizzy and posture down for sure. This way you can pretty much take people's DPS to 0 against other players in 3 seconds, and lets you land KD much easier, and since you already have all the state effects stuck you don't need to waste time keeping them up and you can just KD or DOT the opponent for a good bit and hope it works. I know i've done it once or twice, very ironically beating people such as CM and fencer while NOT beating the proffesions I listed at thetop of my post who are generally considered less good at PvP, (besides rifles and jedi.)all because CM and fencer have very low DPS to pets once you stick states.
Furthermore, although it almost never comes up much, unless your fighting a jedi, a CH can pretty much beat any unbuffed person with the best BE pets available as long as you back it up with your own combat prof, Why just yesterday i beat an unbuffed imperial while being unbuffed myself despite him being quite a powerful PvPer. Its all in the states my friends

It would be december of '03 also known as the Great Nerf.
Creatures are now a 2 sec getaway for pvp.

then you missed something, a swordsman or rifleman is capable of taking down a pet with two special-attacks for sure, don't really know about the other profs tho.
if they are lucky to hit the same pool with their attack twice your pet is gone...

CH is not a PvP enabled Proff atm, so don't be surprised that NONE of our pets will last but a few seconds in PvP, and further more the damage they do will not sway the battle one bit. It's not going to be like this forever IMO but that's the way it is now.
