Thread: 32 points to spend in CH

Ok, I have 32 extra skills points to spare. I was thinking about CH. So far the most advanced point distribution that I have found is 4/1/1/1. Any other suggestions? I am very new to the CH prof. I have never even had a droid or a non-ch pet.

Don't do BH and CH, it doesn't work. You're much better off putting 'em in pistoleer/carbineer/ranger tracking/medic/anythingelse.
But, if you must, 4/0/0/3 would be good, you get more pet levels/skill points for the higher level boxes, plus you can control an additional pet at management 3, though there isn't too much of a reason to have one when you'll only have 31 pet levels anyway.

What might be good to do for your spot and only got some many points you wanna do in ch you could try this,
Least goto creature management 3 (would allow to pets to be out) example if your pet level is 30 you could use two lvl 15 pets.
Then do the rest where ever you wish to, if able to do a few other areas this will help you out with the above skill.

Not sure why anyone would come down on CH dabbling when you master Bounty Hunter. Any Bounty Hunter running all the investigation missions it takes to level, has plenty of money and it probably buring a hole in your pocket,buy some pets. BE pets make 31 max pet levels almost as good as a master.
I was able to purchase a level 29 BE Merek, he has 10k HAM, Armor, and 60% kinetic defence. A master CH will find it hard to beat a pet like that for PvE.
Call me a n00b, but I'm confused why people focus on the taming tree, must be cause I buy my pets. I personally have may master BH as a 0304 CH. I choose training for the storage, with 10 pets I just switch them out as they are weakened in combat. I don't worry about commands, I tip master CHs to teach my pets.

Ok I have squeezed 3 more skill points available into CH. Maybe not that much of a difference but know I have 35 points total. I was thinking of 3/0/1/3. Any ideas? Basically I am looking for one good Tank pet (preferably a razor cat). Is that possible? Will I have the skills to control a Vicious Animal? Like I stated before, I have no XP in CH at all. Hell, I can't keep a goldfish alive! Any input would be appreciated.

You want as high up in the skill trees as possible. You get more pet levels per SP that way, you can have someone else train your pets. As for why BHs don't need pets: It's completely unnecessary, and a crutch. You can't hope to compete PvP with BH/CH, and if you need to use a pet to take down those easy as hell marks, there's something wrong with you. I finished up most of invest on my BH with no medic, no pets, no buffs, and no armor. A kiwik clusjo swirl for my pistol action costs, and I was good to go.

Where did the discussion of BH come into this thread? I am a smuggler/pistoleer. It's good info you guys have provided but no BH in here.

When someone asks for the exact number of SPs left over after MBH, you just assume... =)
