Picked up a pair of (CL 37) Piket Longhorns yesterday. I'd have to doublecheck the damage, but the 9800 HAM and 45% kinetic and 40% energy resists make these bad boys very nice for general purpose mayhem.

Doyou feel the need to be an @$$ on a regular basis or just cuz your momma didn't warm up your bottle last night. Sheesh,Rorenikibi was making the point that his pets, while middle of the roadin stats, still make good tanks for average, everyday work.At least yapicked your name correctly............

Kliknik Hunter,

Ham 9400, kinetic 40%, energy 35%, balst/restraint/heat and cold at 20%, CL 32, damage of 300-310.special is intimidation.

Kliknik queen harvester,

Ham 9100, kinetic/energy at 40%, restraint/heat and cold at 15%, CL 30. Specials are crippling strike and mild poison.

Yep, think Pikets are kinda overlooked as tanks. I think the Merek family (CL32-40) is in that category too. Picked up a blood-frenzied, delirious, and canyon creeper and they are really tanks, takes a lot to put a dent in em.

I often use a DMA or a TMB as part of a tanking pair with a CL 25 or CL 30 ish (especially a Boar Wolf). AR1, highish kinetic, good damage and poison attacks is a great combo. Shame Mereks are all Energy vulnerable, otherwise I would be setting them on the filthy Imperial NPCs.

Add to that list the thune grassland guardian. I was just coming back from a mission when I saw a baby who'd wandered too far from papa, so I stopped to pick him up. Boy, I'm glad I did. He's slow as molasses in January, but he's a marvel against NPCs.

DL 40

Kinetic: 45

Energy: 60

Blast: 30

Restraint: 30 (not that I've ever seen anything use restraint)

The real bonus for me is that he has dizzy strike, and I'm a swordswoman. I just have him dizzy the enemies, then I thwack them with area attack 3 and knock them all down. Of course, he also has crippling strike, so he can dizzy them and knock them down himself, too. Grassland guardians are definitely underrated in my book.

Apt name there dude. Imperfect Nothing. Your an ass. Some guy writes about what kind of pet he thinks is a good tank and all you can think of doing is making fun of him? At least I feel I have a good reason of making fun of you. Your an ass. Takes a lot of nerve and skillto tame a BE pet.
