That is quite a conundrum. But then if the drag command could only be issued by a Doc or taught by one there wouldn't be too much trouble really. Lower level pets that run into a fight have the trouble of staying alive, just as you do. Therefore to have the higher level ones, the doc would also have to be a medic/doc.

Then again I like the idea of it being doc(or medic) and ch only type of thing.

Ive never had a mob aggro my pet. Ive had plenty aggro me but Ive never really seen them go straight for my pet though.

I really like this idea. But yeah, this would probably be too good if the pet never picked up aggro on its own. You could have the pet Follow Target your teammate around, and drag him out within a second or two of the incap happening.

I've had MOBs aggro my pet while I've got maskscent. The mask scent never went away, but my pet attacked without me having put them in guard mode.

From my original thread http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=creature_handler&message.id=152117&highlight=support+profession#M152117 (made almost 1 year ago when we got nerfed er balanced)

Medic/MD support:
pet gets retrive skill which can retrieve a incapped/dead player
Range: 20M + 2x the players own drag incapped/dead player range
Pet loses: attack(still has guard but will only protect the medic it is assisting or the guard target), patrol, formations (useless anyway)
Ch train level: Empathy III
Pet limitations: gurrek, wrix, cat style pets

Im pretty sure this has been said before but it needs its own discussion.

Im grinding CH and Ive picked up enough medic to drag incapped players and while group hunting last night with some friends one got incapped in a spawn and I rushed in to drag him out only to get incappedand dbed myself(his buffs ran out and I wasnt buffed to begin with). Then a thought occured to me "would it be great if I could send a pet in to drag people out for me?" After the CU comes out I and we will have to group again I think this would be a great way for medics and docs to get incapped and dbed players out of the fray and not get killed themselves.

The only problem i can see with this is if a CH can train a pet to do this then it will degrade the value of medics and if you give medics the ability to train this it will further degrade the value of CH's so how would you do this while keeping both involved? Maybe if you had to have both CH skills and medic skills to do it.

So what do the rest of you think about this?
