I am a Master Bounty Hunter and I have 0040 in pistoleer since that allows me to hit for about 1200 a second with my pistol and have status defense so this is the bare minimum I would want as I would only ever get rid of pistoleer for Carbineer specials so I am working from this.

I currently have 3/2/1/1 in Creature Handler.

My original plan was to have CH 4/2/1/3 with 1 point spare. I envisioned running around with 2 pets at my side. Well it seems at some point during my break from the game that they nerfed CH and now at best I would be able to have 2 lvl 18 pets or at the absoulte best with some sacrifices 2 lvl 20 pets which isn't very good. So it would seem to me 1 pet in the mid 30's is better than 2 sub 20 anythings. I have several great low 20's pets but like I saidI justcan't swing that. I won't rebuild my combat profession till I see what happens in the Combat Revamp and determine if its necessary or not. BH has got the nerf a lot too and the dev's did say it was under powered from their intent so I still hold out some hope for it.I don't want to change and find outBH has become the best which would be my luck.

So with my current 3/2/1/1 build I have all the essential command that I use all the time. I have 10 points more to spend

I was thinking of going up the empathy line for enbolden and enrage or are those not very good? Whats the best as from my understanding the pets don't use the special attacks on command anyways and just do them automatically.

your best bet is going to be compleate lines and the best 2 to get with limited points are 44xx tihs allows you to store more pets in your datapad (gives you a better variety for differing situations) and gives the max non master bonus to taming visious oither thna tihs id go for 44x4 if thers the points, the only really sueful stuff in xx4x is the tricks for mind healing and you cna probably find another ch willing to trian your pets in those for you

The enbolden and enrage commands are pretty useless. I am Master and do not use them. Some special attacks do not work reliably. Knock Down and strong poison come to mind. The on command thing is flakey but people have had luck spamming macros on PF keys to get them to hit. Two pets out can be helpful with multiple MOBS. If you find a good BE you can find a pretty good pet at the levels you are looking at. It might not be AR1 60% kinetic resists but I have seen some pretty close to that. Basically, at the level you are talking, a BE can make a pet comparable to a wild CL 40-45 pet.

Thanks! I have decided to go 4/4/1/1

That gives me lvl 40 pets in the fewest pointsand gives me all the commands I regularly use and gives me room for extra pets. I figure having 1 BE lvl 40 pet will be better for PvP or PvE when combined with a probot will be superior than 2 BE lvl 18 pets and a Probot. Heck with a Graul attacking they probably won't even see me let alone the Probot. lol
