If you read some of the other forums people who hunt Night sisters are SCREAMING about their using STUN batons...

This could be a good thing for CH's...as can'tBE's make pets with 100% stun resist?

Perhaps they were thinking of CH's with the NPC change.

nightsisters are still not very difficult at all even with stun bats, with the possible exception of elders.

the problem is, they still have force powers that ignore resistance. in the hands of an elder, their powers can be quite painful. when they use their bleed attacks, they easily tick for 300-500+on all 3 ham bars simultaneously.

so even considering, you'd be doing major work to keep the animal alive anyway. you'd only get a benefit from normal weapon specials.

oh and have you seen an elder use cascade of hatred yet? massive damage to everything within 64m of it, except other nightsisters. this includes players, animals, and vehicles. so you still have a heavy risk of being incapped even if you have the pet tanking.

not even going to go into what would happen when the elder kds the pet(which tends to be frequently). let's just say she'll do a 180, beeline at you, and that's it.

Yea I was talking about elders, can't you get 100% electricity, stun, and heat resists on a pet. That should take care of force lightning and their stun bats, but if you say that their force powers go right through resists then maybe it won't do anything.

And actually I haven't fought one since the special change, I dropped master swordsman because my guild needed a chef, so I'm not exactly specced to fight nightsisters any more. I was just reading some threads about some people getting wiped with Elders weilding stun batons (even in stun comp and with PSG's,) so I figured I'd ask if any of you had any luck using pets with 100% stun and electricity resist.

nope, the resists are based on an average between the resists of all of the dna samples added, weighted more or less depending on what slot the dna is in.

it's impossible to maintain a 100% resist unless ALL dna samples used are 100% to XXXXXX resist.

No, digiwrath is correct.

Your pet was made from DNA that all had 100% resist to those stats, such as a mutant rancor. If it had other things, such as something that also gives 100% to stun, they would have averaged out. It is a weighted average, but they would not be 100% are you mixing DNA.

I've read stuff on the BE forum about mixing (I think) mutant rancor DNA with Rancor Youth DNA and comming up with some 100% resist stuff, as far as stun I'm positive it can be done, as I've seen 100% stun resist pets ingame, although I don't know if you can make a single pet who is both 100% stun and electricity resist. I'll poke around on the BE forums and see what turns up.

noone said it wasn't possible to have 100% stun. or 100% elec. however, it's not possible to have BOTH 100% stun and 100% elec.
