Truthfully hossp the whole rare thing should be dismantled and evrything given the same rate of spawn.
This isn't a trophy that is earned imo its pure luck lol not to mention the fact its even in this game to keep you playing for months and months untill you get something you have wanted.
Its no better than the grind in my eyes, just another way to entice people to pay for another month and in the end they get something they cant use because it plain bites lol. or they cant risk the vitality loss.
Its no different from the painting i got on lifeday,
Sorry if anyone feels I'm insulting to the rare hunters and collectors but its how I feel. There is very little reward for such extreme odds in finding anything rare.
Other than the chance to post here and get congrats for a few days.
I would rather see all tamables brought to a reasonable fair chance of spawnage and drop this facade of wow I earned this I'm so special lol. meanwhile soe laughs at the ch and say
"look at this idiot paying us to keep him jumping through hoops. Hope he looks for a f-graul next I will be able to afford my new car at the rate these guys are going"
As someone that finally tamed a Bull rancor I can say I agree with you that rares need to be increased in spawns. Till this daymy favorite tame for me is the first grual mauler (MaulMe) I tamed on dath a long time ago when frienzed gruals still had babies and the hardest thing was staying alive to get to were they likes to hang out. The funny thing is that little bugger chased me intot he imperial prison for over a hour but once he grew up he would run fom a fight when he was half health lol. His sister came with me on first try and she never runs and has stood toe to toe with some of the meanest things in game. Sure love my maul twins hehe

I was pondering again.
With the new system and (hopefully) increased storage/DL control I'm having another 8 slots to fill. Since I'm a rare hunter I was thinking what an excellent oppertunity for the devs to make most of a prof community happy by adding a few more rares to the game. Small step - find database, check flag, enter baby spawn rate, enter, save, many players happy and if the creatures are in check powervise with what we already have, then there is no excuse not to do this!
Please list the the three creatures you would like to see the most as a new rare tamable and why.
1.) Gurks,.( I wrote a whole story down about the one time at the start of the game when almost everything was tamable thatI saw a baby one, It would mean alot to me to finish the story by taming one, aside from that they are cool and nym can have one so, so should I)
2.) Remmers,.(there werid why not)
3.) I was kinda hopeing all the creatures from the new planet would be tameable, but if not then yeah somthing from there

The thing is, though, there's a large group of people who feel this is worthwhile and enjoyable, just as there are people who feel it's worthwhile and enjoyable to grind XP or farm NPCs for loot. Different strokes for different folks. There's no reason to give everything the same rate of spawn. All that would do is destroy this playstyle for the rare hunting folks, while giving a handful of (in most cases) average pets to everyone else. Would anyone care about the GPS at all if it wasn't rare?
If you don't enjoy rare hunting, you're not being forced to do it. No one is required to tame bull rancors or great plains stalkers to succeed in this profession. Plenty of much easier tames to be had, like regular rancors or greater sludge panthers. Or you can even go to your local BE's vendor and buy an offthe shelfpet with no work required.

vert I may have said make em the same but further down also said make the rates reasonable
and please I was once a rare hunter enjoyment was replaced with a futile search for a frenzied graul baby.
I loved taming and still do. unfortunatly even the rares are crap compared to a be pet, in todays wild tame possiblities there is little to be desired. will this change who knows? if you do then say it lol
if it doesnt change and it rolls on and on then its just foolish to continue down a road meant to string you along for money.. personally as for going and buying a pet no work required "it is not my style"
also that no one is forcing you crap lol reminds me of the if you dont like it quit sentences that fly around the forums. Its garbage imo.
Just as you post your opinions and the people here have posted theyr's I have posted mine
guess no one is forcing anyone to read it or agree with it either lmao
Vertexon wrote:Okay, you are definitely entitled to your opinion. But you still haven't convinced me why it's necessary for people who don't like the "lottery" system to have a bull rancor in the first place. Is there an actual reason the people who enjoy rare hunting should have their playstyle forcibly deleted in order to accomplish this? Why is the mere existence of this playstyle somehow a threat to you, and why should your desires trump theirs?
It's the same mentality, in my view, as those who insist the CU will suck because they will no longer be able to solo krayts etc, except in reverse. They want to keep their ability to do high-end content all alone, because they want instant gratification. They dont want to wait for a group. They dont want to deal with other people. They dont want to be dependant on others.
This bloke(and no offense, this is just how I see it, correct me if Im wrong) seems to want all the creatures. All of 'em, now, right now, after 10 minutes of looking for a lair *pop* there's your baby. He doesnt want someone else to have something he doesnt have, so from his viewpoint it makes more sense to make that item more available than work with the current system, because he likely doesnt have enough time to be a rare hunter(lord knows, I certainly dont
